Biography

Early years (6ABY-14ABY )

Saberan was born on 6 ABY south of Keldabe, Mandalore on a farmstead near the Kelita River. His grandfather was originally from Concord Dawn and somewhere in the last years of the Clone Wars, his father joined the True Mandalorians and moved to Mandalore. His mother was from Shelkonwa and met his father during a peace conference there. She was taken by the idea of a "passive" Mandalorian and was shocked to find, that he was not passive at all. He married her and they went back to Mandalore. Saberan's parents were killed in an accident on the family farm when he was 16 and his brother was 13. They were both adopted by an old friend of their father's named Dar'kumn Vol. He took Saberan's brother back to Tatooine with him and Saberan opted to stay on Mandalore. Rumors abounded that remnants of the Death Watch were responsible for his parent's death but no proof was found.

Childhood ( 14ABY- 22ABY)

Saberan spent his childhood like all Mando children. He began training with his father when he was 8 and traveled to various worlds to learn about various species that he might encounter in his life. One of his least favorite worlds was the desert planet of Tatooine where he met several of his father's friends and learned skills in combat, slicing, demolitions, and engineering. One such friend was Dar'kumn Vol. A master engineer, and a highly skilled demolitionist, Vol taught the boy a few handy tricks with a thermal det and how build gadgets from junk and guns from garbage. While in camp late one night, Saberan, pretending to be asleep, listened to both adults talking about old friends and the future. In this conversation, he also heard his father speaking about a "Death" something, and asking for Vol to look after his children if anything untoward should happen to him. They traveled and trained for a few more months and between training and chores at the family farm, he had an uneventful childhood.

Adulthood ( 22 ABY- Present )

Saberan was 18 at the breakout of the Yhuuzhan Vong War. He joined his adopted father, Dar'kumn Vol and members of the Arqet Clan, along with Spanner Murraan and members of the Murraan Clan on a mission ordered by Mand'alor Fett to fight "Infidels" for the Vong and used the mission to rescue The Supercommando trainer Baelin Halon, his daughter, and Saberan's brother Gotab from the clutches of the Vong. Years later, after a search for his lost love Leesa Daviin, Saberan found her and killed her abusive husband. He married her, adopted her three daughters and moved them to Mandalore where he trained them in combat. He later left them to heed the call of the Mand'alor to fight the G.A. and Imperial Remnant forces at Nickel One to aid in the assassination of Darth Caedus at the hands of his sister Jaina Solo.

Physical Appearance

Saberan is of average height, only 1.82 m and average weight, 89.8 kilos. He has a vibroblade scar on his left eyebrow and a scar on his chin from a limmie match when he was a child. He keeps his hair very short in a military fashion. He has steel blue eyes that always carry a cold look.

Personality

Saberan is a quiet individual who only speaks when he has something to say. He has no patience for fools or people with overinflated opinions of themselves. He goes about his business with a cold calculation. One of his favorite saying's is "Anger is emotion without the benefit of logic." He loves his family above all else and will kill anything that even thinks of threatening them.

Equipment and weapons

Armor/clothing

Saberan wears standard medium Mandalorian armor. His armor color is red. This is in reverence to his late father, Joa Vhette, and his adopted father Dar'kumn Vol. His left gauntlet contains a bounty datapad and his right gaunt only has a beskar blade for close combat. He uses a standard flightsuit in gray and has one in a subdued shadow camo for less lighted areas.

Weapons

Saberan favors Verpine pistols and carbines for portability and the silent nature of the weapons.

Behind the scenes

Saberan was created by Bill Shelton who has loved Mandalorians since he saw Empire Strikes Back. He and his wife Lisa are working on her armor as well. He also does Old West Reenactments. Thanks to help from his wife, Lisa and his good friend Dar'kumn Vol( Kaleb Risner), he has been able to build his kit and enjoy the fun of armored troops.
