 HistoryMav Oya’la was founded in the fall of 2009. Under the leadership of Tahl Taab, the soul representative for Pennsylvania until that time, the first five came together to form Clan Mav Oya’la, which means “Free Living”. The First FiveTahl Taab, Shan Kerryc, Ray’K, OriKad, and Taxtro Duo were the first five members of Mav oya’la. Together they created a new banner, under which, more would come to follow. Our BannerHeraldically presented: Vert, a Bend Argent, a Mercs Skull, a Liberty Bell (in sinister chief), a Triangle (in dexter base). The green field represents the forests of Pennsylvania (Which means Penn's Woods), and the white (Argent) Bend (diagonal line) represents the Appalachian mountain range. The Mercs Skull represents our Mandalorian heritage (and in particular, the Mercs variant of the skull represents our allegiance to the organization) The Liberty Bell represents Philadelphia, the major city in the east of the state (hence it being on the sinister side, or right side as viewed) The Triangle represents the Golden Triangle, which is the colloquial name of downtown Pittsburgh, the major city in the west of the state (hence being on the dexter side) The shape, colors, and basic idea for the symbols, were proposed by Tahl Taab upon the clan's formation and voted in by the founding members. The shape was chosen for its similarity to a military patch, in part for Tahl's familiarity with military symbols, and in part that 3 of the 5 original members had served in the military in some capacity. Our RegionThe United States is divided into three regions, Western, Central, and Eastern. Mav Oya' la clan falls under the eastern region of the United States. The eastern region covers Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Arkansas, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.. The current clans that reside in the Eastern Region are: Falco Clan' of New York,Firaxan Clan of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Mav oya'la Clan of Pennsylvania, Wampa Clan of Main, the New Jersey Area, Bes’uliik Clan of Tennessee/ Arkansas, Blue Moon Clan of Kentucky, Buurenaar Verda Clan of Florida, Firestorm Clan of Virginia, Naast Clan of Georgia/Alabama, Rancor Clan of Ohio, Suumpir'ade Clan of Michigan, the Wisconsin Area, and Talon Clan of North Carolina.
