NOTE: If you use adobe Photoshop as I did when you do "Print with preview" change the print size to %28.98 and it printed out perfectly for me.

Dralshy'a, which program are you using to print?

Actually, my comp's being a little weird about it, I can only open the files with Internet Explorer, which I never use anyway, and I just hit the print button.

So...  I got my sintra a few days ago and today I began looking into the armor patterns.  I am currently using Preview (on a Mac) to view the patterns, then opening them in Preview as PDFs.  I managed to tweak the scaling so that the test sheet came out with the scale being almost exactly 5".  Up to this point, everything's just jolly good.  Now this is where the fun begins...  I then print out the Back Plate LS Pt 1, using the same scaling options.  The problem is... the scale on this pattern isn't 5" long.  It's more like 4 3/4".  Also, because of the scaling, a small piece of the pattern was cut off.  Ideas?  Assistance?

Thanks for your time!

What part was cut off?
Seeing that the patterns are not too complicated, you might be able to draw the cut off part on a secondary sheet.
Or you just ignore it, if it was a corner on the side (happened to me), and pretend that this is the design. (did that too) Although with me it was because the Sintra plate was not wide enough.

And the important part with all the plates is that they fit you. Cut out a prototype out of cardboard, and look if it's the right size. And if you feel creative, change the design of the plate as you like. The templates are a suggestion, no order.

Just a little piece of left back plate was cut off.  I started cutting the templates out, and I think they'll actually fit me fine.  Maybe I'm smaller than a regular medium...  So I guess it really doesn't matter too much if it actually matches up with the scale.  More important to just experiment with it till it fits you.  Also, I probably will cut a prototype out of cardboard before I actually cut the sintra.  Sound advice!  Thanks mate!

You're welcome.
To be honest, I did nothing of it. Except buying a plate that was not wide enough.

There is one in the Jango pattern set.  It's the same patterns I use.

Thath0r, there's a thick line of exactly five inches on each gif. One inch is 2.54 centimeters. I used Windows preview, clicked "print", and chose the option to reduce the pic in size so it was printed completely. "Ganzseitiger Faxausdruck, zentriert und gedreht"
Should do the trick. At least with the XL sized patterns. Don't know about smaller sizes...

Someone told me if you're 6'4 or above to print out at 200% right? Well I don't have a printer right now and Fed ex kinkos wants 240 bucks for the project. Any suggestions?

to sahve some money only print half the templates.... aka one of each armor piece.. as you can flip the left side to use for the right.. and for those plates that are more then 1 piece of paper ( ab and collar).. print half and then flip it over for the opposite side of the plate

heres and example picture..

Best method for difficult sizes is taking your measurments and construct them on your own. Pretty easy, actually. I wish I had that idea before I bought plates.
