I like the shape of the T on the mask a whole lot better than either Legacy visor shape. And the mask helps break up the cartoony roundness of the cheeks, which again is a point I dont personally like about the Legacy buckets. So I think it's an improvement

I dot really get the point of the plate? ..... It's crusader-ish to me, but also strikes an odd appearance, like a phantom of the opera type deal. Everything else looks great and I dig the new side-arms, but I do miss seeing the older ones.

Do you have a scan of the comic that shows the helmet like that?

Personally, I like it. I'm just curious because I don't collect the comics. I used to and I'd like to again, but I don't right now.

I think what the naysayers are meaning is (going on me not having seen the comics) if you painted it to look more like the colors of your kit, it wouldn't stand out.

I didnt expect everyone to jump up and scream look out and shout! I need me one of those! LOL

I actually quite like it and it gave my wiki a fun angle to play with.

But, I knew when I did Legacy armor some would love it, some would hate it. I knew the same with the Legacy helmets which in general seem to have even more naysayers.

In issue 41, there are a couple of small pix of Chernan Ordo and you can see the mask is a seperate entity from the helmet, laid on the face:




That is what prompted the thread in the helmets section where I started a discussin on Mand'alors mask and what it may have looked like. I was trying to see if anyone knew of any canon source material I didn't that perhaps bridged the gap between the revan book where Canderous recovers the mask, to Canderous appearance in KOTOR II where he's clearly not wearing it or, it's been reforged into a helmet, to Legacy 41 where Chernan Ordo (possible realative?) has the mask that is clearly a mask on the helmet.

Personally, I dig it. I got alot of compliments on it at Wondercon as well, folks who were fans and costumers from other clubs and genre's really seemed to like it as well.

A couple people who presumably knew little about Mando EU by their comments even said things to the effect of "That guys must be the boss." "He looks like the boss." "He looks like he can wreck osik like a boss." LOL

So, the air of "leadership" from the mask was present.

At the end of the day, Im glad it's generating talk. Good or bad, it's being talked about so that makes it an attention grabber. I personally dig it. No worries though, my other helmets arent retired they just represent different times in the character story life. All will be rotated and worn. In fact we have a 6 hour event this coming weekend and I plan to cycle between all 3 at least once during the event.

That "reflection" is a reflection I thought it was shining through at first but after I looked at it a lot more you can't see through to the rest of his armor like you would be able to if the visor was allowing you to see through to his face. Plus we all know Falin's head isn't that small in those helmets lol.

Side note though I personally like the mask shape on the helmet and everything. Not personally a fan of the color of it, but I do like the design. Very cool boss.

The mask works for shape but it stands out too much for color.  Painted the same green as the rest of the armor's primary color would work out great.

Yeah, I definatly like the stand outishness of it. Looks like the ancient mask was placed over the face of the helmet.

I do! I do!    I love the look of the mask being sorta "placed" on it,  I Really like the idea of the mask being passed down and reforge several times (seeing as before it just disappeared?)   As for the mask standing out in color,  it should be like that to draw attention to it.  anytime someone can put a previously unmade mando helmet out there it makes me happy  I love me some helmets they have always been my favorite part (and to make) 

so 10/10 from me    (what design is on the top of it? cause it looks cool)

I cast up one of my LV1's, traced the mask onto the face, cut the faceplate off and resin/glassed it together
