What's the buckle made of, sintra? If it is, I would take some sand paper and clean up those edges a bit. Just a little more work and that piece will really shine. Love the use of the clan sigil as a buckle tho, nice going. 8)

Hard to have an opinion on the loin cloth without seeing a full shot.

ok, I bought some sintra and it will be coming in a few days. here's a concept of my armor i'm thinking about doing.

I wanted to do something nobody has done before. the grey/white color is silver.

Sorry vod, mine is almost done!  No red, though...so you got that!  ;D

Sintra is great to work with, by the way.  Just use the heatgun on low and take your time shaping it.

darn, well I was mad at first, then I messed around for an hour with the colors and found some that really look good, can't decide though. help choosing would be awesome. (remember I'm going for an assassin look)

I'd say the green and black
Green is more camo-ish
red gets overdone and there are a lot of black kits with blue outlines

I do like all three though

Sorry to upset you - not my intent!  Anyway your use of red is different from mine, plus you have a assassin bucket.  I am hoping to finish my kit this weekend and will have pics up asap.  And...I'm a woman so that's different!   :P

Do what you like - that's the beauty of custom Mandos!

I don't know man... I've never liked the look of outlined plates. Stripes are the way to go. Outlining them just makes them seem smaller, and more toy-ish to me. It can also really show how crooked plates could potentially be if not placed right or cut evenly. Maybe even add another color in there, like keep the main color black, do a stripe color, and then accent it with different color knees and shoulders.

Yeah avoid outlining your plates. So many great design choices other than that.

Glad you changed your mind about your build.

Remember on the sintra to sand down all the edges a bit to make sure it's nice and smooth

If you really like your design, perhaps consider bringing the lines in from the edge of the plates. What the guys above are saying is that the lines may merge with the background of your flightsuit, making it look smaller. You need your edges to offset the colours you choose.

Green also looks best in my opinion, but if the guy is an assassin in the mythical sense, would he use a bright offset colour?

However, I wouldn't concentrate on any job role for your kit right now, if you're getting this ready to go to Apps, then concentrate on getting the basics done, we have brigades after you become a member to help you go in a direction, but firstly concentrate on passing through the CRLs. :)

I did the outline so my armor wouldn't blend in with my vest. because it would be black on black. but I'll try to find something. mabey stripes would work.

Just so you know, just because you are an assassin doesn't necessarily mean you have to paint everything black. Fett was an assassin. It's star wars. You can have whatever color you want and still be as assassin. Think about, what assassin characters in SW used black?

Black also doesn't show detail at all. Black may look badass, but you are going to do all the detail work and then lose it in all that black. And truly, assassins blend in, think how much more obvious someone colored like a black widow is. Nature uses that coloration to denote danger, it doesn't speak subtlety.
