Obsi'dan "The Mad" Ving...Gaunt WIP

Boz Ving:
My current gaunts for Boz Ving are just protective and decorative.



So for my new kit, I wanted more functionality (read more bad shebs gadgets/weapons). I originally planned on buying some Boba style gaunts and greebling them up. But, one night while browsing the forums I ran across Soaring Hammer's Galaxies templates. I knew the gaunt template wouldn't work but the shin template had some promise. So I printed it up and cut it out. Here is the initial template and one cut out of sintra.



As you can see, it was a little long and too narrow at the front so I trimmed the front down. On the right is the bottom half. I trimmed it down and made it shorter than the top for comfort.

I built boxes for the tops...







The one on the left in the first pic will be worn on my left arm. As you can see it has 2 blasters. On top it will have some rockets. I'm not sure what to make them out of (I am open to suggestions). The right gaunt will have a holoprojector, a key pad, and various knobs and buttons. Both will have blades on the outsides.

Opinions??? Suggestions???

I love how costumers can take anything real-world and turn it into anything swarzy. Like your hose disconnects becoming blasters...brilliant!

I think they're shaping up quite nicely. Of course, I like your original set as well.

Boz Ving:
I finished up my right gaunt today...



The right side has a blade made from a fake "shark fin" antenna. The top has a holoprojector, various buttons, and a readout screen. The left side has an interface/charging port and a chip reader.

Very nifty sir. I love the re-purpose of the fin :)
