Since I had the evening free last night, I went ahead and worked on my bowcaster. I took some previous advice and took the leather off the front. I then went ahead and glued it on the handle. I then sprayed a black finish on it to give it an aged look. I also add a plate in the front to give the bowcaster it self more strength. Here are some pics.

What do you think?

looks great - if you can get some sheets of leather that might make the grip look even better

the weathering of the leather does look amazing though

Looks a lot better!

It still looks too shiny though. Definitely hit it and your vibro ax with a black or black & brown wash to tone things down. That will seal the deal!
