OK Ner Vod.  It's been a bit since I posted last, but I assure you I have been busy.  My main PC took a poo on me and I have been forced to use the backup and well haven't posted.  But here are updates since tonight was the Armor Party at Chris S. place. 

This was before the party.  If you notice the shadow, I added a raise AZ Clan logo to my Shoulder.  Looks freaking awesome!


Also since the last Post I got the most important item yet!  MY BUCKET!!!!


After a bit of cleanup!


Now after the armor party this evening Chris helped tape everything in place for a quick picture op.  Note: I don't have my belt, girth belt, back plate, or boot plates on.  But we wanted to get a shot of the shoulders we came up with!  I really want everyone to let me know what they think of them!



And this one we got with my Shin/Knee armor on.  Also we just made the Gaunlets tonight so they are not close to finished yet!


Thanks all for looking and giving me feed back!  Can't wait to troop soon!

Thanks!  We will get you going!  It is coming together way faster then I expected!  I am very happy!

Nice work!  You are certainly making progress. It is looking good, but the two things that pop out are the shoulders and missing thigh armor. I'm sure thigh plates are still to come, but being that you are such a tall dude, thigh armor and a cod are going to be needed for sure. Or even pouches or a drop holster for that open space.  Basically a guy of your stature will look better with medium-heavy armor coverage. Now with shoulders, that raised clan symbol is the bees knees. I just don't know how I feel with the totally asymmetrical style of shoulder plates. I personally like symmetrical things so it's just my tastes/preferences with armor. I believe you made it like that because you are a sniper, right? What about normal shoulder plates and some sort of pauldron/shooters pad instead?  Again it's just my 2 cents and this is you kit so your choice. I am just happy to see you posting progress. I can't wait to see this kit finished

Shoulders look unbalanced to me, but i do understant what you're trying to do. Plate size looks good, but i think you can raise them all slightly. The collar just looks to be a little low.

Yeah I guess I should explaine lol!

I am going with a sniper look.  And the reason we went with the odd look was that my left side is my odd hand and thus forward when shooting.  So we decided to make it more armored with the extra Pauldron style plate and under Bicept plate.  The other side on my shooting side, when I am holding a gun the plates come together and make a nice shooter shoulder.  We are still in debate about adding a true shooter shoulder style pad, or (As my Dad Recomended) some Thick rubber on the edges of each plate that comes together to make a Shooter Shoulder.  But yes that's all still to come!  And we all really like the uneven look.  Thought it was kind of appropoiate givin the Sniper theme.

Also, My bucket may very well be uneven, as I am not going with a range finder, and will only have one ear cap.  I will post a picture once I get the part ready.  Got to see if I like it first!   

And Yeah V I will have two Drop Holsters, and a Loin Cloth.  That is just in the works at this point!  Also one day I want to build Armored Holsers (Really just a thigh plate over the holsters so they look like built in Holsters!). 

But thank you for the comments none the less!  Always giving me more to think about! 

Oh and the plates will come up a bit, the vest isn't quite tight enoght for me yet need a little tailoring done still!

I nominate Nasaad Tal for Ruus'alor of the year for the help he did with us last night.

As I said last night, I think the asymetrical look is bad shebs personally and I agree with the justifiaction for it.

I know your shins are a shin/knee combo, they look a bit low in this picture, but could be wrong or maybe tape wasnt holding it up well.

Started the Guns.  Three Pictuers at various stages!

Finished Rough with side glued on.  And Triggers Glued in!


A little test painting.  Need to work out the Kinks a bit!

That mod looks cool. But, it won't help with forward vison at all. Perhaps some on the peripheral but not forward, the area the eye focuses to see forward is right where the upward notches are 

Can't wait to see the guns come together!

Acctually it's not bad my eyes are wide enough apart they sit just out side of the notches!  So I barly notice them!

I like the layered shoulder idea, i have a similar one for a knee/shin combo that i'm still working out. Everything looks great so far, keep it up!

And even though you can't see it, we did install a custom fitting, super adjustable, heavy duty.... Foam stuff so it won't move around on my melon!  lol

I guess the last pictuer was before I glued in the Visor as it is not even with the bottom of the bucket...  But you get the Idea!!!
