Here's the plan I have right now. Tell me what you folks think. The main thing I'm worried about is the color scheme. I do not want to step all over anybody's scheme ya know. The colors also may not have transferred well in the scan. The cape and loin-cloth are purple, but it is a very subdued purple. I actually have the cloth for them and they were about the same color blue that the armor will be. They are not now, because I sent to the dye bath when I was planning on black and red armor. No worries, I think I may still have a few curtain left at the shop. Yup, they used to be the changing room curtains that were left here back when the computer shop I work at was an exercise studio. Use what you have right?

The blue would be a shade or two darker than Tarheel Blue. I drew (rather badly) a side view of the boots I am using. Pretty much just engineer style motorcycle boots that come up to just over mid-calf. The front plate is a Wilson shin-guard that I'll paint and bolt down. The top plates on the foot are from Ohl'd Vart's templates.

The gun, how awesome does that thing look right, is actually a water gun I picked up from a drugstore the other day and is roughly the size of a sawed-off shotgun. It will need paint and some greeblies added.

My gauntlets are not actually designed yet, which is why they are pretty much empty in the drawing. They will retain the stripe after design though.

So, I want to get your honest opinions and I want to make sure I'm not walking all over somebody else's build.

Well, based on the drawing, those shins probly won't be CRL allowable. Sports equipment has to be modified so it doesn't LOOK like sports equipment painted in your colors. As far as I know, it doesn't look like you've got someone elses paint scheme so your good with that.  And the mods on the helmet are very intriguing!
Only thing I would suggest to change design wise would be either a) the color of the pouches to black or leather/dark brown leather or b) chose a more muted color for you cape and loincloth. My reasons for suggesting those changes is because it looks like you've got too many colors going on. It just looks a little too busy and the soft parts may distract people from the armor 

That gun looks sweet and I have to say you've got some skills with a pencil!

Good point about the soft parts being too busy looking. The pouches are actually OD Green (though they might be seeing a dye bath this weekend)and the cape (thank goodness I found that other curtain) will now pretty much match the blue in the armor (might be a shade or two off). Funny you should mention the shin plates, I just had a  friend tell me they looked silly and didn't fit with the rest of the armor plating. So, he's making me some straight metal shin plates and I can toss the Wilson's over to my g/f for her Sith build. He is also helping me with making boot plates that will screw into the side of the sole, which I am thinking will add to the sturdiness of the whole thing. We'll be modding Rob's template, but the overall look should still be the same. Thanks a lot for the advice ner vode!

Your concepts are very well drawn, and more importantly, very clear. However, I recommend a change in either colors or pattern. It's a little close to Boz Ving's color/pattern. Otherwise, Let's start this.

I really like Boz's kit, but I think our colors and pattern are pretty different. In fact, his was the first kit I used for comparison. My blue comes from a total love of Tarheel basketball, and I'm using white stripes (yes, I am that hokey and paid tribute to a band as well). The only black on my kit would be the flight suit. Boz uses a dark blue, has a very  unique stripe pattern that has both black and (it looks like) silver in them. All that being said, if vod Boz has even the remotest problem with it, I will indeed change it. As i said before,I refuse to step on any toes, no matter how well armor plated they happen to be.

Hey vod I replied to your PM. I got no problem with you having a similar color scheme/pattern. Looks like your blue will be lighter than mine and your stripes are gonna be white. Heck I may even work you into my back story somehow.
