A Possible Flight Suit Alternative?
« on: May 14, 2012, 09:48 AM »
I have been examining the armor configurations of various Mandalorian characters such as Jango Fett and Pre Vizsla in order to help me with my armor planning. When examining Jango Fett, I noticed that his flight suit highly resembled a simple pair of pants and a regular button shirt worn over a long sleeved shirt of the same color and fabric.

Seeing this, I am wondering if perhaps a good alternative to a flight suit is to take this same approach and use the flak vest, belt and cod piece/ kama to cover the buttons/zippers/etc. Would this be an acceptable alternative?

Better off just getting a pair of Dickies coveralls or a Dickies shirt and pants set, the guidelines state you may use a two piece flight suit set.

I use a 2 piece suit on my current kit... You're right the vest, girth belt and ammo belt cover the whole thing up, no problem.

My sleeves are "short sleeves" sewn over a long sleeve osik. It's hot enough with the vest and plates without having 2 layers of clothing... But I guess if you don't mind the heat, it would would be ok...!

Make sure you pick same color bottom and top (so it looks like a one piece)...!!!
