Like the vest and the shoes, the vest looks perfect has an older "beat Up" look to it. The shoes are also great due to the amount of wear and not being all shiny new. Makes me think about using some sh*t kickers (redneck slang for Cowboy boot) for my outfit. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Thank you :) If I remember correctly it's made out of linen (bought it 4 or so months ago) and yes, I made it on my own. Took me several tries before I got a nice looking one though lol. I weather stained it with some watered down brown shoe polish. Looking back on it now though, I probably should have used watered down acrylic as, with the given material, it may have been easier to control. I happy with the results regardless though.

And, while I'm posting, I'd thought I'd use this as an opportunity to ask a quick question to any and all who know the answer. I'm using a long sleeve shirt and a pair of cargo pants for my "flight suit". You can see some of it in the pic where I'm wearing the vest (I can upload a better picture of them if yall would like, just let me know). My question is this, I know I need to get rid of the buttons and sew up the button wholes on the cargo pants, but the flap covers on the pockets are OK correct? Just curious.
