Ok, got some work done this weekend on armor and gaunts.  Finished up the sanding and heatgun treatment on one set of gaunts upper and lower shell.  The base is from Ithica's galaxy templates.  I feel its my homage to a game I loved playing.  Had to do some modding on the size issue and after several attempts finally found the right size I needed to use.






I noticed that I needed to cut down a little on the bottom edge so that my wrist could get full movement.

Looks like a good base, any idea on what your going to put on the top? or are you going with a clean top without grebs?

Will probably do pvc glue only because there is just a little bit of over lap and not enough for a hinge I think.

Not sure yet.  Got a few pieces to a kit I bashed earlier for my HBF helmet might look at putting those on.  Otherwise I will have to build up a shell for launcers and such.  I am open to ideas for the tops.

Most of it is going to be unobtrusive in apparence.  I like the jango look for gaunts...... think I will print out the pep or wof files and see how they look on the gaunts first.  I know I am running into probs for the large dart launcer on the left forearm (I think).  Also not to keen on the flame throwers on the side.  I do know I dont have to put it on the gaunts if I dont want too.  Will a smooth top pass the crls?  I am going more for a assassin style look but can be an upclose and personal merc when the need arises.
