Here I go again! Another setup for the wifey... one of these days I gotta make a mando for me...
This one's gonna take the cake I hope. Not sure how many more of these are in progress as I write this but hopefully my wife will be the first approved in both Mercs and 501st! Got the helmet and some other parts a few weeks ago so I figured Easter was as good a time as any to get started. Did some painting and weathering this weekend. Tell me what ya think. The "V" and the comm antennae will be going on this week as well as the charcoal grey on the rear of the helmet. I'm going to try and knock this out within 90 days along with an RC kit that should arrive in a week or so. Anywho enjoy the pic... more to come soon...

If you outsource, please share the source on who's making it! If you make youre own, you may want to consider making a paper template that can be scanned, the women of Mercs (and the 501st) will love you for it as no templates or vac formed armor are yet available. The other thing would be if you have, are interested in making or know someone with a vac table, you may want to consider making the molds and vacforming this armor! Again, the women of Mandalorian costuming would love you for it and it would likely be worth yours, or someone elses, time.

Hey Falin if you want to send me a PM on how to go about all that or who to contact for a vac table I'm definately game. I will be scratch building the armor using sintra. I was going to do metal again like her original armor but the plates are very thick in the cartoon so in order to maintain the thickness and keep the weight manageable sintra is the only way to go. :D

Got a little bit more painting done today. Tomorrow I will permanently install the antennae the visor and a set of stormrider padding in the lid. Here's some shots of the lid so far. ;)

I also have a Night Owl for my girl but i'm doing a custom kit not Bo Katan.
