Vult Tavik's WIP (New upgrades on pg. 11)

Finally getting around to starting this thread. I have already started working on a few parts, when my son decided that he HAD to build one too.

I really want my first kit to be very similar to Boba, but with my own spin on colors/ customization. My other passions in life is riding Dual Sport with my wife and I absolutely love my BMW (the wife too of course!):


So that was the inspiration for my color scheme on my kit. Please tell me what you think:





To start, I picked an ASOK cold cast helm.





Drilled holes to give the bondo and better "hold".



Filled in the dent with Bondo.



Sanded.



Primed and ready for paint (visor was from my sons HBF and not part of this build).


For the gauntlets, I decided on the MOW ESB.


Washed, sanded and ready to figure out how to glue it all together. 


I also have a black flight suit that fits perfectly. I plan to re-use the boots from my Anakin costume and I will post more of those once I get my armor (ordered from tk2280).

Absolutely, I am leaving it in their for strength until my armor comes in and I am ready to paint it all. Plus, I have to finish the HBF conversion for my son's helmet as well. I have limited space in my garage with 4 motorcycles that I have to take out when I paint so I am trying to get everything to the same stage before I start painting.

I have the same Gaunts, good set. I love the Detail on the ESB set. MOW takes a bit out of the pocketbook, but it's worth it in my opinion.

I love the MoW offerings- some things are worth the investment if you can afford it. I have a set of his boots on the way now and will get one of his Jet packs too (although I may wait until after I get OM).

A couple updates. Not as much progress as I'd like, but balancing work, family, etc..

The wife and I started creating the pattern for my vest last night. We should have that completed over the weekend then I will post some pictures up with the armor taped on for feedback.

Thank you, I got a lot of progress on the gauntlets today. I completed the build, fiber glassed the inside of the gauntlets and connected them  with the hinges. Now they are ready for some paint!



Also worked on some weapons and made my son a set of gauntletss using Condar Ward's method.

Thanks for the welcome. We have my wife's first bike an old Ninja 250 and 3 BMW GS (F650, F800, F800).
