Chopped Special (Lots of pics)

Wanted to make something that resembled Tyber Zann's/Cade Skywalker's Rawk Chopped Special so I took one of these


After I removed the stock and scope, I cut part of the front out and glued a couple of these


To two sawed off legs from a funky looking black plastic shelving unit to make this so far




I still have somework to do and while it's not passable as Cade's RCS, I like how it's coming along.

I'm really digging the look of this right now. As for a trigger, are you wanting something just for look? or are you wanting a trigger that will pull back and spring forward? For looks ought to be fairly easy. However, a "functional" trigger could be done in a way similar to how Harrison Krix of Volpin props does his.

The grip was actually much easier to make than I was afraid of


Thank the FSM for bondo and epoxy putty along with a good feel for how a gun grip needs to look


The trigger doesn't move but I'm liking the way it looks


After I washed this off of all the dust from sanding, I'm just waiting for it to dry so I can apply primer

Part of it is I took my time working on this thing. wouldn't look at it for a month or more... Mainly because I had no idea how to proceed to the next step. Had to wait for inspiration to kick in

Um... I'm almost an or'dinii just with just this build. No way am I gonna try and make another one.

Of course, it would be a good excuse to get the stuff for mold making and casting

At something of a crossroads now. Got the black laid down but I'm wondering if I should just leave it black or lay down some silver and go over that with black and them weather it.

Clean / near spotless & well maintained blaster is a happy blaster and all that

Dangit! I saw that gun in my livingroom and decided I was gonna buy a new one and mod it someday...you beat me to it.

Looking great though! You took it a different direction than I was so I will be watching this
