Okay bought 2x4 sheet of 6mm sintra today and traced out my chest plates, diamond, belly, and collar. I cut out the chest plates and diamond. I used my dremel and a metal cutting wheel. Umm quick question, did you make sure that your plates were the right size? Hate to see you cut everything out, only to find out they were too small...

Thank for the image i tried a bunch of times and couldnt figure it out it just gave me red x's. i cut out large ones. but i read some where on here to go with what size shirt you where. which for me is med but the pattern looked small so...

okay so now Im nervous as to what size plates i need. so I cut a med and lg on the white is the sintra and its the large jango and the cardboard is the med jango. Firstly, Here's how you post pictures

The medium is a better fit for you. You can easily trim your sintra plates down to that size. That being said, you'll still have to do some extra trimming on the outer edge of both chest plates as well.
Here's what I mean:


Half an inch to an inch will probably do it. trim that off of your cardboard test plates and post it up again so we can see.

They look a little big to me ...... you may be a Med - trimmed up ....

Mine are in between Med & Large .... but mine are custom trimmed .
I never liked the Corners on the top outside edge , but that's me . 

Looks like you have a little more fitting to do , but you have a great start .... keep it up ...

Thats what I thought and while im typing I havent read any where that I cant round out edges or anything like that which is what I would like to do. I want to keep the original kind of shape but mod it some to fit my idea of it. Ive been looking at finished and WIPs and it looks to me that I can but I want to make sure I stay in the guild lines. Im going to be pic happy I hope that y'all dont mind

You can round out the edges if you want, Just as long as it's still recocnisably modern era armour. ConDar's plates are a good example of thinking outside the box but still distictive.

Why not make several different cardboard plates and see which ones you fit in better .
Just keep the basic shape & you'll be fine Kai ..... Good luck with your build ...

Thanks everyone this build is going to be a bit slow now. I happened to cut off the tip of my thumb working on a project for my little cousin. Im okay but Im now missing a portion of my thumb. So Ill see what i can do and go from there. Again thank you again guys.

When in photo bucket or Image shack copy & paste the IMG code.... then you should be all good ....

Then Preview your thread to see if it works ..... It might take a Few seconds for the Site to fetch your preview , but it should work ...
