Ehem... Vode...  ;) I think it looks great! Not a big fan of the mini, well, mini gun but thats just me  ;D
my apologies, spent too much time using basic so my Mando is rusty :D
The minigun does stick out a bit far.. perhaps shortening it? I like where it is, I feel the gaunt is a little naked without it. Oh I'll be sanding it all very well. I've done most of the sanding as I was constructing, it helped the glue hold too.
I like what you've got going Vod ......  8)

Be sure to sand everything very well before painting .

You may need to use a adhesion promoting Agent or a Good plastic primer to get
the paint to layout well .....

Good luck with your Build ....... I'll be watching this for sure .....   ;)
I'll be using Krylon Fusion would that be enough or would you recommend a separate primer as well?

Krylon Fusion is good for "Most" plastic .... but not sure it's going to adhere like you want ... I'd give it a Test run to be positive .

I like them. But, I too think the mini gun sticks out a bit too far. I think your idea of shortening it would be a perfect solution.
A good self etching primer is what I use, and it has worked for everything I have painted thus far.

I think an excellent sollution for the minigun^2 would be to pull it back slightly and put in on the side of the gauntlet (outer side as opposed to inner side) instead of on the top. Nestle it in there alongside the comm.

Jobatt, that might have worked.. but with the epoxy I used I would have taken half the gauntlet with it when I moved it. Shortening it, I think looks good, and makes it less earthy in my opinion. I have the first layer of paint on so I'll be posting pics in the next day or so.

Painting!!!

Com housing cover and interior plate

Left gauntlet inside and top

Right gauntlet inside and outside

Knuckle plates. I think I'm going to need a flatter black paint for the final coat as they seem a bit shiny, but maybe that's just cause they're wet. we shall see.
The final color will be black, with lots of wear and tear. The knuckle plates I think are on their final coat. While the gaunts themselves need to get some black after the silver dries(when they're finished I'll ask the gf to take some quality pics).

Necro-posting as a shameless plug for more feed back.. I'm nearing completion after a nearly 4 month hiatus. Link in my signature of my armor.

Looking good overall. I'd be a bit concerned with painting the clear plastic parts, though... not sure if the paint will hold.

Great work so far!

The spray paint called "Krylon" is special for those plastic, can find it at home depott ;)

Wow, dude. Those gaunts look good. Maybe when it gets a little warmer outside I will work on mine.

Nice job on the gaunts! I like the com pad deal, the way it opens up is pretty nifty...
