On the upside the grille modification helped a TON in preventing forest fires.. umm tropical rainstorms.
Though it's only a slight improvement, I still got visor fog but no longer had tear tracks running down the inside of the visor.
The air hoses work, but weakly. Outside of the helmet I could hardly feel it but after 5-10minutes in the sauna I appreciated that weak flow of fishy drain hose smelling air!
After breaking the kit down in the parking lot I realized that the ducting came off one fan which was basically keeping my backbox nice and cool instead of my face.
Also I forgot to buy a 12V battery the night before so had to make do with a 9V battery for each 12V fan.
I am hoping that with proper voltage I'll get a bit more air pushed to the helmet.
Hoses were cut a tad too short, most likely I'll recut new hoses 2-4" longer.
As they stand I can't turn my head side to side without popping one or the other loose.
I will need to brainstorm some kind of secure fitting on the outside of the helmet since there is absolutely no room inside. During con I had about an inch of hose sticking in my face and partially in my mouth. Great for air delivery, not so great for any hope at locking them in place from the inside.
