I agree with some of the others with their suggestions. I think Point really hit the nail on the head with adding a kama. I almost think you could forgo adding pouches at the waist if your kama had a nice flair to it like the one in your avatar. I do like the suggestion of filling the gap between the cod and I assume that is your belt, yes? You could even go with a kama/ loincloth combination, I think when they are done right they can look really sharp. (So no biting my head off people for suggesting it!) All in all you have done an excellent job with this, you can tell by your work your not new to costuming. Can't wait to see you finish it off and see you get your kill stripes.

thanks for all the praise and kind words, advice, and the suggestions of the kama. gonna break out the sewing machine today and see if i cant bang a pattern out, and get some thread thrown down before going to bed (wish i had an embroidering machine so i could do my pattern right into the fabric but oh well guess ill have to make stencils and paint it on.

@condar - those are just a pair of boots i got from academy sporting goods, covered with ohld varts' legacy shin and toe templates, in fact, the whole armour is from his templates, they are amazing and so easy to use

@seugtai - actually this is the second costume i have ever made that involved armour or shaped pieces, with the exception of this one and the grey knight chaplain i posted in the nonofficial & non mando costumes thread every costume i have ever owned/made has been clothing/store bought, i just took my sweet time with this and put an all call in to all my star wars nerd friends, pored through every pic/pattern/template/design/WIP thread i could find, to make sure it looked like it was supposed to in my head and printing out pics to be able to reference doesnt hurt either

@Thaxos and others - chest diamond incoming, im trying to figure out if i want to remove the vent in the chest or carve the diamond above it

Your quite close on this one, just a few tweaks in the areas mentioned & you should be good to go.  The one thing I am going to suggest is not really costume wise as that has been covered, but the pics are a bit out of focus and dim.  When you submit your pics on the app, make sure the pictures are clear & well lit and you shouldn't have a problem!

ok knees and kama made and new pics taken, have some reservations but lets see what you guys think first before i start remaking pieces, so without further ado..............

I also cut a chest diamond, but do not know yet if the tentative placement is going to work
looking at my legs in the pictures i should probably make a run for the ankle weights and bulk up a bit lol, of course i can always find a large bore rifle on a bipod, with a fancy scope, and become a sniper. I'm rambling, so time to sign off for now, chime in and let me know if theres anything else i need to do, or anything im still missing, cause i dont see anything else

man, your back piece is awesome... the others will say they need clearer pics with outdoor lighting, so I'll say it for them.   nothing productive to add other than that without better pics.  my eyes aren't what they used to be

since i didnt get to take pics before heading to san diego, and my helmet got totalled right along with my car, this is the only way i have to show the work ive been done.

im very very upset with myself for not seeing the mercs table at comic con, but i had a blast and even got some great pics, hopefully my helmet rebuild will work out and, ill be able to become official before years end
