I was just on wookiepedia today and read that this particular slugthrower is actually an un-modified german Kar-98 so if you can find an obviously non-firing replica of the Kar then you would have a star wars gun without having to modify!

seriously?!?! That's AWESOME!! I'll keep my eye out at the next gun show here. If nothing else, I can remove the firing pin. KAR 98K guns are relatively cheap.

Glad I could help. But I would recommend you PM Falin and ask if a peace-tied Kar-98 is clear for CRL's and/or if it would be to difficult to get in to a convention with it.

Yeah for sure, if nothing else the real one could be used to make a resin mold.

I'm looking forward to seeing the changes you've made! And that picture you showed us looks pretty cool, though personally, I feel it lacks the swarsy feel. -shrugs- but that may just be me. The red-dot sight sounds like a good idea though. -nods-

yeah, I'm going more for something a little closer to a pistol. A "mare's leg" is nice because it can be used one handed or two handed. I also definitely want it to be a slug through, not a blaster. I thought about making the scope offset though, as that seems to be very common with SW weaponry. I'm going to play around with it for a while

in the meantime, I have my trusty DL-44

So I am picking up three Daisy Buck BB guns tomorrow from a guy for $8 a piece. I need ideas on what to do to modify it into a "mare's leg" style or rifle style Swarsy slugthrower. Here's what they will look like with no modifications. Any ideas? Also, need to know what I need to to do to make them non-functional.

$8 holster for my DL-44. Took a leather tape measure holder and cut off a couple of pieces. Works great! Doesn't fall out if it gets bumped from underneath but I can still draw it quickly. What do you think?

I may darken it up a bit, but it's not much different than a lot of leather holsters I've seen for $50.

Got my knee 5.0 design done for the concept. Would this be approvable? I'm going to try to tighten up the leather abit and maybe add some rivets or something like that, but this gives you the idea of what I'm after.
