My DW gauntlet  progress so far:

PVC originals.

The PVC versions filled, sanded, and mounted on wood and plaster saddles for vacforming:

The results of my vac pulls:

I am really looking forward to getting these in paint and assembled with the piano hinges. I am planning on using magnets for the closure assembly.

Nice work! What is the size of these?

Thanks!
They are 5" (Oval) at the big end and 3" on the wrist end. I made them big so that they can be trimmed to fit.

You ought to consider selling those. Those things look great!

Thanks guys. I actually plan on doing an ongoing run at some point. (I've been kind of covered up with getting the vac table fully operational)

What material would you all like to see them pulled in?

1/16" or 1/8" HIPS (Styrene)?
1/16" or 1/8" ABS?

I personally prefer the ABS, but costs vary based on materials....

1/8" ABS is the way to go. HIPS has a lower melting point and is more shatter-prone from what I've seen. Thicker ABS doesn't have those problems.

Depending on the price (and my funds, of course!) I'd love to buy some of these, too!

I just received a pair of these in 1/8" HIPS and even though I purchased them as B Pulls the quality is excellent.

Well, I upgraded my gauntlet molds a little for ease of pulling and to combat some of the webbing I have been fighting. You can see them in the background of this pic of my shin guard mold.

Time for Post Christmas Catch-UP! YAy!

Last night I pulled the revised Gauntlet molds and they look great! This weekend, I plan to pour them in Hydro-Stone. This will allow me to do hundreds of pulls without mold degradation. I will post progress pics soon.

As far as pricing, it will depend a little on which material you want them in. Right now, my local Plastic Supplier has 1/16" and 1/8" HIPS and ABS. I am trying to get these to a production level soon. My first goal is to get my personal costume done, but I really do want to offer these to the community.

PM me if you are interested and I will start compiling an interest list.  :)

You should take pics of the test pulls and start an interest thread in the Trading station sub-board.
