Well Serim, in the mean time we can make sure we get you looking your best  ;)

Or, you could convince a parent to join the Mercs too, then you can get approved at an earlier age!

Of course that too! But my funds are low and being 12 minutes in a car away from the closest town (that has almost no good stores for greeblie hunting) and being unable to drive myself it's a bit diffucult to work on my own costume. And there isn't a chance of my parents joining. So I will work at spreading the word of the Mercs, and building the clan here (I've already drawn up a sketch of a possible clan logo inspired by K'amon calling Canadians "Meese") while slowly working on my costume.

Well you've got plenty of time to get it done then, don't be discouraged. Take your time, and you'll end up with an excellent quality kit.

Haha yeah, Frost is always poking fun on the podcast.

Big Red here poking my head in and saying hi.  Had a moment between sailing for the Navy.  Checking up on things here.  I've started a new post about Fan Expo Van Apr 21 - 22 hope all you up and comers come by the 501st table and intro yourself.  They are a bunch of good guys and gals and will even be hosting a couple prop and costume build lectures.  Excellent oppourtunity to gain some valuable table talk knowledge on resources and construction assistance.
Hope to see the group grow so we can start our own panels and make our own impact on the community.

Alright,
So I got all my hard pieces (minus gauntlets) and my helmet (DSB Mercenary) now wtf do I do next....

I guess I should get a vest and start from there?

I'm seriously lost here.

I would suggest starting with the flightsuit and working out as it will be hard to fit a vest without knowing how the stuff under it fits.

This is what I'm doing.
I'm trying to build from the inside out so I have to get my boots, flightsuit, gloves (got these), then vest, then belt and Kama, and THEN armor plates... only problem is I can't seem to find a flightsuit in my size and color  :-\

Having a flightsuit on will help with measuring your vest and making sure it fits over top of the flightsuit, and having a vest will help when you mold your plates.

Do you have a WIP thread Kad?
Keep it up!

Definitely getting the soft parts fitted to you helps to make sure when you do the armor, everything is proportionate.

If you can't get a flightsuit that fits proper, you might want to consider either having one tailored or custom made.

I know vicousvestments on here does custom flight suits if you are having a hard time finding a color or size, and his prices when he have me an estimate were extremely reasonable.  I plan to be using him when I am ready for one.

Awesome!
I spent the day working on getting my helmet ready, since I don't need a soft bit for that.  I'll look into a flight suit and a vest next.  Anyone know a good vest person?
