I started putting together some gaunts a while back, and I think they are based off an earlier thread or description that you made.

Same base.  No wrist overhang on top, double piano hinge (with removable pin on one side for open/closing)
No rivets.  Everything held together with Goop glue.

The only greeblies actually put on right now are these... dunno what they are.  Heat vents?  Made from the plastic pop-top from a cardboard quart carton of chicken broth.  I'll probably leave these closed.  Open, they look like floppy ears.  Not quite the effect I was going for.   :-[

Other things planned to go on -
on the left, a tri-blaster made from two old-style and one new-style epipen trainers.
on the right, a photo keychain loaded w/ Swarzy pics, a sensor-thing made from a windshield wiper adapter, 4 darts made from old plastic safety dart tips.  The pentagonal housing is the bottom of a measuring scoop from the gardening store.   And finally, a toy missile.

Those should fill it out nicely, but I'm having trouble building up the base gaunts.  Didn't think of fiberglassing parts from the pepakura set, though...

Also if you paint the inside silver or White when the paint does chip off you don't see clear through.

Never occurred to me to do that, either.  That's an awesome tip!

I haven't  gotten to post pics of it yet ..... But , I didn't like the Size or Scale I was getting
with my Build up either ......so I went To " Savers ( thrift Store ) and Bought 2  $1.00  recipe card holders .  These will serve a
platform to build from .  Not to Give away all my Tricks , but when I do get to put up the pics , there are some attachment innovations to.

Alright ..... I was at the Fabric store and found the perfect Quick release buckles for $1.04 on sale .  ;)

I marked where the Straps should go through , cut some slits with the Dremel , then
I fed the Nylon strap inside the Gaunt , I will now rivet it into place .

The nice thing about these buckles is that they have a slight curve in them so the Hug the face of the Gaunt .  8)

I little more progress tonight .

The Left Gaunt is where I'm starting .

I'm trying to keep the same "Boba" look to this set .

I'm using another (Different) Recipe card holders " Lid ".
I liked the Shape better for this Side .
The Rocket or Dart is a  :
 1)  Fluted Dowel
 2)  Some lamp parts. (Aluminum back end)
 3) A washer .
 4) Some Lego parts . (Tip drilled out )
 5) A piece of PVC pipe sliced .

The Key pad :
 1) A plastic box bottom .
 2) A Cheap'o calculator I found .

brilliant.  Are you going to leave the calculator bit overhanging like that or fill it underneath it to make it more natural/smooth looking?   Your greeblization is one skill I envy...

Thanks Zopher .   8)

I do plan to fill in the overhang on all the top pieces .
It will , like you said ' give it that Smooth built in look .

But that won't be until all the Greeblies are test fitted , or in my case , thought of yet..... hahahaha   :D

Thanks for your support .

A little more done today ....... But not as much as I'd liked ....... :-\

I was going to F/G a cardboard "Knob" for the Right Gaunt Hose connection ......
but I said to myself ' Self  " you could make that out of poplar " ...... It would be light ,
It would be easy to attach to the Gaunt , and easy to attach the Hose to ...... so .... I did .
