I get all my scales and rings from The Ring Lord.  It's pretty much the cheapest place out there.

Okay, I'm so close!  I finished the shins and spats today, but the spats and bracers still need their straps. Then the only thing left is the collar and shoulders.  In this picture, I don't have the breast plate on because the magnets were not fully set yet.  But here is everything I have so far.  The knees are also not sitting the way I want, so I have to fix that.

Love it! The only critique i have is that given the width of your helmet and the distance the spines of your thigh plates and gaunts flare out means your shoulders will have to add width as well to balance the look of the armor. In the pic the absence of these pieces give it an uneven feel.  Great work though.

Yea, you can see what the upper body plates will look like in the concept design on page 1.  It will even out.

I like the concept but, the way it's coming together is kinda tripping me up a bit. The big flares off the outsides of the armor adds a perceived cumbersome and bulky effect to the armor. If those were curled back into the body more or trimmed down to still be there but less pronounced I personally feel it would look much better.

Falin hit the nail right on the head.  I was looking this over and thinking the same thing.  The way it's fitting you now looks almost...gaudy?  I don't know if that's the right word, but it's not fitting you in a way that screams "warrior."  The individual pieces look AMAZING, but when you put it all on it looks less like armor and more like a Halloween costume.  I think adjusting the curve or trimming off a bit might have a big impact and make it look more like your concept.  But I'll reserve judgment until I see it with the shoulders, because that might change the whole look!

Now that I'm looking more at it... I have to agree.  Maybe if there were fewer pieces that "fly away" from your body, or it looked more functional beyond looking dragon-esque...

As I look at the lines, if the thighs were curved another bit to flare off the backs of the legs a bit more, it would pull some of the outward flare, but you would need to make sure you could still sit with them.  The gaunts seem to be about right, just a bit much flare on the thighs.

I like it – it’s pretty. I love the way the coloration came out.

It does make me want to ask one question though… how many times have you stabbed yourself with those points?

Awesome work Vod

its fantastic and it makes her a weapon which is practical for the environment in which she is working, if an animal attacks her it has to get past her offensive, defense then her personal offensive gear, and then the armor itself... its a win win. and for the locale of the armor... it makes sense.

Alright, sorry for my absence.  I've been super busy.  But I've been getting in gear to get this finished now that I know I can bring it to C6.  I only have the shoulders left to make and a couple of straps to put on.  I've reshaped a few of the plates to reduce the flare on the spikes.  I'm also in the process of painting the scales over to make them stand out better in pictures.
