I've been spending a lot of time gathering tips and techniques and I finally feel ready to start constructing my first set of armor! 

I've ordered a Jango Fett 2-piece and accumulated a bunch of supplies after a successful trip to Lowe's today.  Right now I'm planning on using the paper tape mold and fiberglass method to create my plates.  I also bought a plastic trashcan in case I fail at fiberglassing.

I'll probably need a lot of help along the way since I've never done anything like this before.   Please share your thoughts and criticism with me!

EDIT: Need a better sketch with the new colors!

So this is what I grabbed at Lowe's today. 



Not sure if I got the best brand of bondo/filler or fiberglassing material, but I'm hoping they work.  I still need to get my hands on some of that paper packing tape that they used here: http://mercs.firespray.net/forum/index.php?topic=16740.30 to make a mold.

looks like what my bag looked likewhen i began...minus the mask. Probably should have gotten one...lol. o well  :rolleyes:

My helmet came in the mail yesterday!  It's a JF 2 piece...  I managed to get the vents cut out and the sketchy plastic sanded down.  Tonight  I make a body mold and bondo/sand the crap out of my helmet.  Pictures by tomorrow, hopefully!  SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!  :D
