I was planning on adding a strap to support some of the weight, nothing as elaborate as a support arm like the big guns from Aliens or anything though.  It will also have a forward grip (like the Trooper class from SW:TOR)

As for the off topic chatter, consider it canned.

Made some progress on the gun, made emitters for both barrels. The top barrel with the vented heat shield is getting some brass hardware that looks like it would work well as a flammable liquid nozzle.  The lower barrel gets the black lens style emitter.

I think a strap will really give it the impression it has weight.  And your right, a support arm would definitely be way too much.

I like the barrels.  Looking good.  Keep it up vod!

Made a little more progress on the gun, got the barrel, grip, and handle mounted, got the emitters glued in place, filled in some gaps, etc.

Here are some pics.

Looks terrible, ya slacker  :P   All those screw holes, and is that a bar code scan on the emitter?
OK... Enough joking...
Looks great... Arashi, I eagerly await the finish of this as well as your armor ... I will try not to steal it when you're not looking ;D

I am going to do some grinding and tweaking to the bracket holding the new barrel so it doesnt look so much like it came straight out of the hardware store...and I will probably replace the current nut and bolt with something else as well, oh yea...and remove the bar code sticker  ;)

Been getting ready for the Steampunk Symposium convention recently, once that is over I plan on shifting my focus back to my mercs costume.
