Good thinking!   I can make it like an inside-out Cordura sheath, jsut put a palstic backing behind the canvas to keep it rigid-ish.....better stay up late a few nights than spend $20 on a cheap Nylon sheath that would fall apart from the paltes rubbing together(from experiance, my nylon Gerber sheaths fall apart just from me wearing them on my belt with the abrasion of my jacket)

Heres the Holo, used a mint tin for the base and the aluminum retaining ring from a HardDrive, and the for electroncis its some buttoncell batteries with a tiny momentary push switch and a UV LED.

RIFLE UPDATE  btw, base is a brand new NERF STAMPEDE I gutted and sold the accsesories for a smoot $18 to get me the laser sight, birthday card, and more finger lights for some LEDs.

I emptied out the stock battery compartment and have all the amber LEDs wired in series. I am going to try and wire 5LEDs per circuit but in parralel, so I don;t need 63V for one circuit 

I am using a hard-rubber pipe holder as the lamp holder, which I have my 160Lumen Dorcy K2 which is also my worklight, and i can pop on or off in a second.

here you can see the left side with some greebs, LEDs, switch, ammo counter, ect.

the barrel lights flash-my webcam just sucks. I am using a fully threaded bronze chiller tube as the barrel, redid the inside in Brilliant Silver spray paint after I cleaned out the inside with a gun cleaning kit and drill.

the amber lights are surprisingly bright(635nm?) for regular indicator type. The bright thing to the top-left is a very pretty metal greeb from inside of a TV's Cathode ray tube, mroe specificaly from the electron gun inside. I have 3 red, 532nm LEDs-you'll get better pics of when it's done of course.

and then here is rear/left side with the lightup barrel light switch and such.

and as for the granade launche, the metal grip is from an antique flashlight that i shamelessly trashed for this, and it's glued onto a piece of 1 1/4" PVC pipe, which slides over a 1" PVC pipe very smoothly. I will do some better close-up pics when I get the good camera back.

Mini update, ignore the pipe fittings in this pic-was taken for something else entirely a little while back, but the TX Valve bulb hardware(the flat brass sheet with the holes in it) I will use as the mount for the LEDs that will iluminate the ammo counter. It perfectly fits a 5mm LED in the holes, with a little bit of plate so they can be adjusted to get all the light focused onto a single digit. Then I'll put the "Access" door back on, but still with the holes so you can see the glow insite the rifle like a baws. \so far running on 63V and rising. I could stick a 60W bulb on this thing by the time it's done 

I rewired it twice, first in parralel then rewired it back into series, I thought parralel would ease the voltage...but I guess not :S
still need to experiment with the audio and tomorrow I intent on picking up the LEDs for the ammo counter from some cheap "Finger Lights" at the fleamarket for $0.50/pce. I get batteries and a hyperbright LED so it's an OK price considering getting stuff off of the internet is a feat for me.

Here is the rifle's progress. It is at a stand-still until I get LEDs, a soundboard, and more solder lol-it runs on 63V at the moment and will be up to 99 acording to my estimates(all by 9v batteries).
i also repainted the blaster pistol and knife, put messsed up the knife again using it how a knife should be used. To pry buckets apart

at least the police like my blaster pistol      hope they don;t like it so much as they want to take it though(yes I put orange tape on the barrel for the event)

for soem reason the Krylon Brilliant Silver keeps getting wierd on me...had to repaint it twice last night...

Got a bunch done in way of the electronics, I keep screwing up the lasers I get once way or another...first time it was too many mA from AAs instead of AAAs or R44 button cells...next time it was overheated from my soldering iron, and this time the entire "emmiter" part came off of the mini driver board...that was actualy defective though; shame I couldn't bring it back for a refund while it's in 6 pieces though lolz

first off: I wasn't kidding when I said that there would be a lot of batteries....

I even have the battery clips marked off with a "legend" on the isndie of the ammo can lid...


and why yes, I did get the ammo indicator straight out of my DC-17 sorta' thing...aaand, there are 10 1200nm red LEDs behind it...which use surprisingly little resistance on a circuit compared to the standard brightness indicator type...


which is bad you see, because I burnt out the 555 timer's barrel lights like that...but IO then modified my 555 and swapped the LEDs out for some "flood light" style like....1600nm red 10mm LEDs that i had to dremel so they'd fit into the barrel, and I got them out of a EXIT sign I stumbled upon in a box after i kicked it over in a fit of rage at burning out my barrel lights, meanwhile I couldn't get any more for another week untilt he fleamarket so i could buy some more of those crappy little LED finger lights(my dollar stores suck and do not carry any such gadgets) so I have spent like $50 on these figner lights at the flea market, and have aprox. 300 button cell batteries from them... my helemt light takes the same type so that's pretty cool I guess....

also-I found that those 3 red LEDs on the right side of the blaster kept getting confused for a "clip" as it was called, so I ripped it off and will be putting a flatter greeb over the hole from it and about 660 ohms of resistors in series (2x330 ohm resistors) so it compensates for the absence of those indicator LEDs.

still am yet to get started on the PEWPEW board....

Dresdon, I love your work, and I'm glad you have a new rifle. But I don't understand a good 65% of the word/letter combinations that you say. Bravo to that my friend, I don't know a thing about electronics. Keep up the great work!

It's more-orless a highcap thing, were it would take normal mags on the side like a DC-17 and E-11, but is equipt with a highcap-err...battery pack....for mowing down hoards of the undead and killing plenty'o imps...
