I'd like some opinions on my first attempts at blaster building.
The character I have created is primarily a beast hunter so these are supposed to look like a hunters tools and not commando weapons.
First is my sidearm. It is intended to be a dart gun.

The base is a cheap electronic cowboy gun from Big Lots. I cut off the stock and added some junk I have lying around like the cap to a stick of deodorant for the power pack and a broken continuity tester as a spare dart. It's intended to be slipped over the end and used against larger animals. The claw at the end is made of sculpey and is intended to be a Trandoshan claw.
Next is my primary blaster.

The base for this is a Big Buck Hunter (or something) game I found for $5. I used 2 halves from a broken Harbor Freight cutting tool and glued them to the sides. The barrel is a piece from a Count Dooku lightsaber toy. The tooth at the end is intended to be a small Sarlaac tooth (you can't tell very well from the pics but the end is curved up). It's smaller at the base because that is supposed to be the root, and it's darker near the tip because of carbon scoring from the blaster. It is carved from a cone of green floral foam from walmart and covered with layers of elmers glue to give the foam stability. I also added a thin layer of JB Weld and several coats of enamel paint.
Here is a pic of them together.

Does anyone have any opinions?
