UPDATE #1: CRACKED MY COLLAR PLATE BUT FIXED AND MODIFIED IT.
UPDATE #2: After ordering some amazing decals a long time ago from Lady Z I've decided to incorporate various words in Mando'a on my kit. "Aay'han" on the back of my helmet as well as "Shereshoya" and "Vencuyot", which I plan to put on the left chest plate and backplate, respectively.

You cheater you bought everything!

Sorry, i scratch build everything in all my builds. Its weird seeing people do it this way. It looks cool though. I hope for your sake those plates will be big enough. It be a shame to see you wasted that much on small plates. You know you could have made a set for about $15 right? Ill be watching your progress.

LOL. yeah, I know. I'm realizing i really don't have the time or the facility to do much full custom scratch building. Money is sort of an issue. (What I spent so far is what I've been saving for this purpose ever since certain Mercs started really making there presence known on the BFFC boards) I still have to have $$ set aside for my fiancee and I to move out of her mother's house (hence the lack of facility for scratch builds; she's insanely Type-A personality). I do plan on heavily modding what I can, so I can still satisfy my creative control freak. I do plan on scratch building the arm, and maybe some other stuff...

Thanx for taking an interest in my vision. Jundland. I really dig your kit.

We'll keep in touch ner vod.

Zul

BTW here's a sketch of what Ive been imagining so far. It's not the complete kit, but it's enough to have a clear idea of what I intend.

Thanks, iv got a ways to go on mine still. And I understand i just had to give you some trouble. I tend to forget that most people dont have a full workshop like i do.

I like your concept there. The yellow really stands out with the black.

If the plates you purchased with Fett style plates, you need a Fett style vest. That vest COULD be approval under conditions... the vest must be COMPLETELY hidden from view. You can't get that kind of coverage, especially withou truining the look of the armor, with Fett style plates. You'd either have to go custom or go Legacy for that vest.

Osik'la!

Yeah, I'm kinda burned I spent so much...

Oh, well...

Hey any ideas how best I can shape the plates better without a heat gun? I may also need to cut them down to a better size. Any ideas/ recommendations?

Lets see some pictures of those plates taped to you before you cut them down.

Agreed you should take some pics with the plates before ya cut. also you can pick up a heat gun for about $20 a good investment if your doing any costuming, but in mando it's almost a must. If thats not an option you can try to use the oven method where ya basicly bake the armor in the oven to soften it up and them shape it and then cool it down with air or water.

Oh yeah. i'm definitely going to take pics 1st. Cutting is the last resort, as I've never really messed with sintra before. I'm hoping to get some shaping done soon. My work schedule's been insane lately, so I have very little free time.

Oven? like a baking oven? what setting would be good? I was thinking of dipping it in boiled water and then shaping...would that work?

Thanx for the feedback guys. I really appreciate it.

Actually yes. Just set the oven to a low temp. let it get warm and shape it. That can be tricky though, if it gets to warm it will melt and ruin your plates. Hot water will work too. Anything that can get it hot is a good bet. Lighters work well for small areas

Thanx for the input, ner vod. I think I'll try shaping w/ the hot water first. I'm nervous about ruining my plates on the first go.
