I'd recommend using this method to post pics, as for instance, I'm at work and can't view your pictures because I don't have access to facebook.

Love the detail on the paint job, have you considered adding weathering of some kind? I think it'd really take it to the next level.
I found that the easiest way to attach plates was with industrial strength velcro, using the industrial stuff on the back of the plates and normal, non-sticky back velcro sewn to the vest. Others just bolt it to the vest, use snaps, or a combination of snaps and velcro. What I like about velcro though is that it's very easy to adjust on spot, so in the end it comes down to your personal preference.
Looks great so far vod. :)

Seconding what Haran said, great patterning styles, throw on some weathering to kick it up a notch if you wish, and velcro or snaps would both work well.

Awesome paint apps Vod ;D Nice work.

I recommend Velcro for plate attachment ;) Industrial sticky on the plates and sew on on the soft parts ;)

Very nice work! I will also throw my vote in for velcro for all the same reasons. I personally outlined my entire plates in velcro so they sit flush to the vest. If you do go the snap or rivet route, make sure to use more than just one at each corner so the plates don't gap off the vest.

Sticky on the plates, sew-on on the vest. That way the glue doesn't get messy when you try to sew through it.

Post in your local clan boards asking for help, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind lending a hand.

I have completed all of the armor now and have made a weapon to go along with it, pics will be posted when fully complete. I have had trouble find a flight suite for me, they don't make standard flight suites for 6'3 tall people. however I will over come that the next 2-3 days by ordering a custom sized flight suite. I will be continuing the work very soon and look forward to becoming a full Merc Member.
