Okeh,    just got armour back from shoemaker and onlyh 1 screwupi gotago in abotu tomorrow  :)

With the webbing belt it all seems to go together fairly well (torso armour anyways) the webbing beltisbasicly the girth belt that wouldnormaly go over part of the cod plate. Insted I like it about mid gutplate.

While taking off my armour i "misplaced" my chest diamond   >.<
I know lol-i look terrible in jeans and armour >.<Heres the funkeh back plate, colar plate matches up with gaps at sidesShin plates hammered out of a section of galvanised steel ....something U shaped butalso fairly thick. The greeblies at the top are 2 8 gauge galvanised hinges for god-knows-what. I bolted them on to add relief when kneeling so my ankles arn't forced downNow for some torso upclose(minus chest diamond)

questions/comments?   Yes I know the chst diamond was a bit crooked >.<

What's with that sword? Doesn't look like a Star Wars weapon at all.

Your armour look's ok , but the weathering look's too much like paint splatters . Little is often better , scratched look is ok . You might want to tone it down a little mate .

My reason for being lazy at thetime wasbecause I wasdoing alot of sewing on my flightsuit and vest  >.<

I'm guessing I can just mask onver SOME weathering and do another coat of green. O and I put a Red hexagon on teh torso armour. What about the back plate? That look ok?

I found some cattle teeth. I'm going to paint them white and add a brown wash to them, dangle them from my colar plate along with some Jedi padawan braids >:D

Do a black wash to grime up the bare silver sections. Should give it a more realistic feel to the silver showing through.
Black wash is just watered down acrylic black paint which you can apply with a sponge and then smear on the armor. Just wash it off if you don't like how it looks, before it dries.

Ideally you want to have most of the black wash show up around the edges of the paint chipping, any grooves, dents, etc. Places where dirt would normally accumulate.

I would also recommend not wearing the girth belt so hide as it hides the ab plate and makes the modified Fett plates even less easily recognizable.
Starts to lose the feel of them being Mandalorian plates.

I shrank out of my old backplate-lol so I made a new one  ;D
I started with a control pannal cover to make the back plate out of. I hammered it all flat and started by getting the curve of the back and shoulders hammered into it. One sweaty hour later I had it all shaped, sanded down and cut out. And for once I wore my work gloves so theres no blood on it anywere

I then applied some masking fluid,

painted it OD green and cut out a jaing skull-ish stencil,

bought a new can of KRYLON burgandy and some flat black KRYLON, painted the stenciled design in, outlined it in black using a bolt in place of a paint brush,

removed the masking fluid and added some silver streaks like scratches

and I am now waiting for i to dry more then I go out and buy some clearcoat for the back plate and blaster that hasn't been clearcoated yet >.<
