Well since I received the news yesterday that I became official I guess it is time to start my armor thread here  ;D

Here are some pics of where my kit is currently at

Now for the upgrade plans  ;D
I am planning to modify my kit to meet the requirements of the Communications Specialist a pending addition to the Mobile Engineers. To do this I will need to add a commpad to my gauntlet and add a back mounted radio pack. Another requirement is to have antennae attached to the helmet which I already have. I already have the comm pad and just need to get around to mounting it to my gauntlet. I will be replacing my cape with a backplate and then I will add the radio to the backplate. Some aesthetic changes to my kit; I will be adding weathering to my DT57 (as its to clean and new looking) and since I am removing the cape I am contemplating adding a kama

That's some darned nice weathering, and you've already listed any suggestions I may have added. Congratulations on the Stripes!

Thanks Vod  ;D Glad you like the weathering, personally I just couldn't do a clean kit. Maybe down the road but I like the battle worn look weathering gives the armor a little to much  :P

Great Kit, love the weathering and colors!!

Thanks Kindar  ;D The colors I went with have been a long time favorite color scheme that just works (Blue, tan, brown, white, and black) that I learned about back in High School Level art classes

Most upgrades are planned for when the weather is a bit nicer but I have made some progress. I already bought a commpad that will be mounted to one of my gauntlets and I bought a vader chest box that I will modify into the back radio pack. I was considering doing a full backpack style radio pack but I was also looking for reference pictures that would be less of a hindrance to movement. I eventually found a reference pic of a 501st clone trooper that has what appears to be a radio on his backplate that is flush with his armor

After getting this design approved by the brigade app team I settled on this concept. I will use the vader box as part of the accessories that I will add to the radio pack. More will be added to prevent the vader chest box from being recognizable and I will mount the entire pack to the backplate similar to the picture above.
