Hi I'm an Aussie Mando noob and I have started my mando build. I am currently drawing up my gauntlet plans and I need know what is the best matireal/way to build gauntlets? For my left gauntlet I plsn to have a computer/hacking device and for my right I was thinking of puting a flame thower and dart gun.
Peace though Tyanny

Define "Best" lol. There's lots of different, equally valid ways. I think most people buy shells from someone like RKD and then mod them to however they like. Others scratch build by getting PVC pipe and cutting and shaping it. Still others have metal ones.

Be careful with your computer device that it doesn't look too earthy :) If you go look in the Tech brigade there's some good discussion about techy gauntlets, including things like scomp links (The computer interface tool that r2's use)

You can find many examples of flame throwers and dart guns on most people's gaunts around here. Just gotta do the looking :)

There are plenty of people who make gauntlets on this forum. Check out the different sellers and find something that would work best for you.

You can basically take a WOF template gauntlet, and just print out a top/bottom set for the inner shell or outer shell.  Assemble that with a cabinet hinge you can pick up at a hardware store, and you've basically got a blank base from which to attach anything you want.

I can only echo what everyone else has already stated  ;)
It really all depends on what works best for YOU. Taking into consideration your skill level, time, money, etc. will help determine which direction you might want to go. Some people just want to buy the shells and mod them. Others like to have the satisfaction of making them from scratch. Yet some others don't really have the time or skills to make them so they buy them. Research and checking out WIP's is going to be your best bet to help you decide your next step. Good luck!!  :)
