What's the best way to build gauntlet from scrath? Cup? TDH templetes?

Yes....

Pretty vague answer huh. It depends on what your level of prop building is and what medium you like working in/ can work in. Also depends what type of look your going for; are you going for screen accurate Boba/Jango gauntlets, are you going for CW DW gauntlets, are you going for a custom look that’s kitted out for what your mando does?
So my answer stays yes until more info is provided.

the best thing for you to do is go through the gauntlet boards and see what others have done. gauntlets have come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, different materials and starting points. so have a good look through and you'll get some ideas.
