Thank you everyone! :D

So when are you going to apply:}?

Well, seeing as I don't even have pants made yet... :P
I hope to have everything wrapped up and ready to take my app. pictures by the end of the month. My new set deadline is fast approaching, my kids favorite local con, Con Noga Feb. 17th-19th. I really want to be official for it!

Wow, the difference between your test fit and the padded fit are night and day!  :o

You're gonna steal the show at Celebration!!

It's amazing what a properly fitted kit can do for the overall look, huh?

I doubt that, but thank you. I look forward to getting to meet everyone!

Holy cow, what a difference the padding made!  Who'd'a thunk it?!   Love the denim flight suit :P :P  In the padded side of the side-by-side, the siding in the background looks like a mug shot background with the height lines :P

I win ;) Told ya the padding would make the helmet look the right size.

Looks real good. The shoulders aren't saying there's anything wrong to me, so they must also be good.

:-X Talk of no pants and that new smiley... oh if it wasn't a family friendly board ;D

Anyways Seugtai I can't remember and didn't want to go back threw the previous 75 pages to find it (yes it's called being lazy :-[) But all your hard parts are finished right? I honestly can't remember if you already had knee's done or not, I think I remember thighs but... Anyways so we are talking what... finish the pants (probably the biggest thing you have left) and then rigging the thigh and knee armor attachments? So we're talking home stretch now huh.

Oh since you had a test fit of the waist up, did you try attaching the hoses as well to see if they were going to cause any major restrictions?

Have a good one,
Hagen

That's ok, Seugtai. For you we can make the pants optional... Go for a Mando/Slave Leia crossover! ;)

Doh! Did someone say child friendly forum? Ok... (sigh) I withdraw the notion...  ;D

So awhile ago while I was chatting with Ajax Kaal, and since I've always liked his personal sigil on his kit, I asked him if he would mind helping me out with some ideas. He threw me up a couple designs and they all had his interpretation of what a basiliskan skull might look like and I LOVED IT! (Thank you Ajax!) So I took his skull and added a bit to it, which I stole from another Star Wars sigil, anybody recognize it? LOL I engraved it on the back of my helmet but, I'm not sure if I should go back and make it more jagged looking, it almost looks too neat. Thoughts?

Close up.

From the back.

From the side.

Yeah, all the armor is done except finishing up my other half gaunt. The thighs and knees are on page 37 or CLICK HERE. Yep, the pants are definitely my largest project to finish as they will have a built in holster of sorts for my Ripper. Hopefully this coming weekend I will have the full completed upper body test up and I can say that yes, I'm on the home stretch now with just finishing up the last few things on the lower body. I want to have my app. in by the end of the month.

Hose are coming my friend, as you can see I have permanently attached the back hose and finishing up the last attachment for the right front one today. ;)

I set myself up for that one huh? LOL No, there will most definitely BE pants! :P

Hahahaha, well, I guess I can use that to see how much taller I am with horns... :P

Yep, the pants are definitely my largest project to finish as they will have a built in holster of sorts for my Ripper.

Please reconsider that idea. Keeping things modular, like having separate holsters helps you in several ways. Firstly, the holster is pulling your belt down, not your pants down. Secondly, the holster moves separately and gives you more freedom of movement, like shifting out of the way when you sit down. Thirdly, you may want to change/break your Ripper down the track. I used to love cargo shorts & pants for their thigh pockets, but keeping stuff in those pockets rapidly became irritating. I'd imagine an inbuilt holster would be the same. Separate is more adjustable for changes!
Hold still, this won't hurt me a bit...
