I'm a little skeptical as to how well the snaps will hold up if the hose gets caught on anything, but at worse they'll just detach and you can re-snap 'em. It's probably better than a more solid method of connecting where if the hose got caught you'd just end up choked by the helmet.

Ben: What do we do now? Lob a baradium missile at it?
Luke: Do we have a baradium missile?
Ben: Sorry, Uncle Han said it was always a good idea to have one--
Luke: Your uncle isn't a jedi. I wish you'd remember that.

Alright silly question, but is the hose from your helmet going to attach to your chest plate or back plate? Cause you have the hose on the right side of your buy'ce and the attachment on the left side of your chest plate...

LMAO :D Oh, death by helmet hose strangulation does not sound like a dignified way to go. Yeah, if I had had these hoses when I started my helmet I would have screwed them in through the cheeks and bondo'd over it, making them permanent.  Unfortunately, the cheeks were too thin to do this now that the helmet is pretty much complete. A good thing is that the snaps are pretty heavy duty so they take a bit of force to snap them on and off. I'm just hoping the stitching and epoxy putty hold.

If anybody else has any other ideas for this, please share.  ;)

Sorry, guess I should have mentioned that. The hose that is attached now will be going to one of the posts on my backpack (that same side, directly over my shoulder), the hose that will be soon attached to the other cheek will be going to my chest piece and the hose that will be coming out of the back of my helmet will be going to the other post on my backpack. Does that make sense now?

Never thought you'd use the hoses that way.
But I'm glad I could help.

How did you think I was going to use them?  ???

I'm trying to keep to my original inspiration as close as possible.

All I can say after today was these pictures do not do this kit any justice. So many of the fine details are lost. Thanks for letting me play with your stuff.  I have a picture of her holding up her helmet I'll put up later.... ;D

Finally got the leather wraps put on my axe handle. My weapons are now complete. :D

My axe and the reference.

Thanks. No, no skirt on the bottom of my helmet. My collar on my flight suit is tall enough that it pretty much hits at the bottom of my ears and across my mouth and flairs out to fill the bottom of my helmet.

Carter is correct, alot of the fine details are lost in the photos.  :'(
