Thanks Pointoforigin. They were the first gloves I've actually ever made so they weren't put together as neat as I would have liked so I'm kinda glad to make another pair.  ;) Plus being able to bend your fingers is important, I wouldn't want to accidentally drop my axe on anyone... ;) :D

But seriously, I 'm sure there's a way you could make them fit you without damaging them to much.
Still they turned out great and can't wait to see the next pair. ;)

I envy your sewing ability! I can't even get a sewing machine to agree with me! I do everything it says to do, and it chews up my fabric and spits it back at me with spite. -_-"

On a good day, I can stitch in a straight line. . . :-\

Very nice gloves!

Ill fitting or not, the gloves came out pretty good for the first shot. What patterns did you use? I was going to unseam an old glove and adjust it for my size if I made a custom pair.

Any disbelief is in the era in question, certainly not in your skills. I mean come on, you sew your own gloves? That's just irritating!  ;)

Haha, well my mother taught me the basics when I was just a little kid, try sitting all day following the lines of notebook paper before your even allowed to have thread in the machine and an actual piece of fabric- yeah that's how I learned.  :D You can do it Squirrel, I have faith in ya!  ;D

Thanks. I used Butterick pattern B5370. It does have S,M,L sizes but, they only pertain from the base of the thumb to the wrist, the fingers are all one set size; if you don't have dainty southern belle hands your gonna have to enlarge the pattern a bit. I don't have dainty southern belle hands.  :P Using an existing pair of gloves as a pattern base would probably be best.  ;) Best of luck with your gloves.  :)

LOL, well sewing is really my element. All my costuming up until this build have mainly been made of fabric with a very small prop or two sprinkled in.  ;)

Well arn't those good looking.   :o

And they're headed for my daughters dress up bin... :P

You did it again and struck me speechless.  Those are so nice looking, even if they don't fit.

Atleast you can make gloves.  I've been needing a purple pair for my Goblin for a while. ;)  ;) ;)

You always need something, and I already have a long enough list of things to make for you! NO MORE!!!  ;) :D

Awh, thanks girl! I look at it as a chance to get better. I also have a pair of gloves to make my Niece for her Comic Book Mystique costume so after making myself another pair I should have it down for hers.  :D ;)

I'm needy. ;)

Nah, I'm not asking.  I think I've retired the Goblin for the most part anyway.  The mask is a bit to tight.

I think there is as much a chance of that as there is of the sun not being hot!

You'd have to go horrifically, terribly wrong on the soft parts or the chest part not to get approved; so far, everything I've seen has far exceeded the minimum expectations for an Early-era Crusader. As far as I know, there's only ever been one 'complete' early crusader, and while the maker was a skilled craftsman, his didn't even come close to touching your work.

Aww, I didn't mean it to ruin your day.   :(

I'll go stick my hand in a toast.   :'(
Is that supposed to be toaster, or have I fallen behind on the Naast clan meme-lingo again?

It's a frakkin toaster!  :P  Whoooops, call catch Slade.

You know where we can find a pic of this crusader?

Nope; it was Ge'tal Gra'tua's, and I'm fairly certain the thread died in the server change. Could be that it survives in the old 'new official members' thread? It was a secondary or tertiary kit, but he still went through the app process as far as I know. I'll give a look-see for it, see if I can't dig it up. To me, it never really captured the early era feel, looked like it should have been a late-era, but early is what it was supposed to be.

So...anyone what to tell me what this Seu'ika means, now that I've been called it twice?  ???

Thank you Slade! -whew- I've been trying to stay as close to the inspiration guy as I can and taking every bit of advice and critique to heart, so that when app time comes, it goes through without a hitch. That's why I've been posting my work, so all of you with a greater knowledge can help guide me to a successfully approved kit. Thank you again everyone for the help you continue to give me, words can't express how grateful I am to you all.  ;D

'ika is a diminuitive suffix, usually used in reference to children, but also used affectionately between adult friends. I'd probably contract your name to Seug'ika, or even as far as S'ika, as it's usually customary to add suffixes after consonants, but it's a mutable thing.

And as it turns out, I lied: http://mercs.firespray.net/forum/index.php?topic=14608.msg219048#msg219048. That link should go directly to an image of the armor in question, in the CRL question thread thingy thing. There are a few others floating around I can probably dig out too.
