The chest plate spacing looks great!  How are the plates attached to the flak vest?

They are attached with velcro...........a whole lot of velcro.  I wanted to make sure they weren't going to fall off.

Only thing I can see that is going to be an issue the judges will say something about is the bagginess of your flight suit.  Mostly in the legs...torso and above look fine.

Put some straps around your knee's attached to your knee armor. Thats where it looks a bit off.

I have some elastic to add straps to the knees.  would it help if I added thighs and shins as well to hide the bagginess?

yes it would, you do look a little bare below the waist. besides that you're off to a good start.
