This kit is really close to late-era crusader looking.  I think if you swapped out your chest plates for something that looks more early-era, it would bring the kit together a little more.  It just has a lot of stuff attached to it to be a modern era kit, that makes it seem better suited for crusader era.

As always, the Boss is right. Just try to bring in a more early era breastplate and then its really perfect.
