I just attached my (now hinged) cod to an extra leather belt (worn backwards, with the buckle in the rear), and then attached my thigh plate top loops to the same belt, on either side of the cod....it's one unit now, that I just buckle on, and go!

I'm thinking if I do a pinstripe, it can only be black, or the same blue.
Basically I'm sticking to my TB Lightning colors...  

All had taped, too... no stencils!

I'm iffy; it might alleviate the unrelievedness of it, or it might just look superfluous. My first impulse is to suggest some weathering; minor dings and scrapes and a bit of carbon scoring or blackwash. I wish I could give a detailed how-to, but my own method is sort of catch as can catch, no real step-by-step method to it. Stormtrooperguy has a pretty good weathering video on his site here: http://www.stormtrooperguy.com/workshop/Weathering_video that does a great job of walking you through weathering. It's how he weathers his clonetrooper armor, but given that it's white and blue, it's sort of poignant .

One idea that you bring up is if I weather with black and charcoal for a carbon scored look, that'll add the black I want!
