I'm just gonna leave this here...
Some notes: The plates are designed to sit next to each other with a very small amount of space instead of overlapping. It'll give me a bit more flexibility and will help protect the paint. The material is .025 aluminum, and the only clean-up I've done since cutting the plates out is a rough file so as to not tear up my hands when I carry them. I'll be lightly curing the edges to make it stand out a bit and putting a layer of craft foam (not visible when finished) to reinforce it and help keep the shape.
