Legacy Era Mandalorian Armor- Reference Pictures
Ghostwalker:
if these are all the reference pictures available I am forced to draw the conclusion that codpieces and buttplates went out of fashion...
every single character depicted is sporting a loin cloth and fully closed Kama...
Hondo Karr:
Unlike Boba, a complete jango kit doesnt feature a kidney plate. I would omit it as youre wearing a kama anyway. Loincloth addressed in other thread.
Barn:
I know this thread is 4 days short of a year since its last reply, but just wanted to make sure there are no new reference pics?
I tried ebay for some recent issues to look myself, but apparently people in ausitralia want $20-30 an issue :o
Hondo Karr:
Well, this is where we're stuck and why tthe Legacy stuff is locked into Modern Era for the time being... we have 1 issue (issue 41) for reference and that's it. I contacted Dark Horse about any future plans and they told me there are no plans to revisit the Legacy timeline Mandalorians, by Dark Horse, on their current planning calendat which goes out about 36 months and that was about a year ago I guess.
Hasbro has scorned the Legacy figures.
Unless we get some LF print cards or other artwork from the era we simply are stuck. While the armor follows the basic design concept of the Modern Era, it has clearly evolved in look, function and appearance. But, 1 issues of 1 comic book simply isn't enought o justify a CRl for another era. It would be soooo restrictive based upon what we've seen... people would really only be able to customize colors and helmet accessories. So, the folks with light and medium or hybrid kits would be out on the keesters as there is currently no justification for any variances in the era.
Barn:
Cheers thanks for the reply Falin.
I just didn't want to get to far into something to find out it wasn't like any particular reference.
I have modified a couple little things, but don't think its outside the CRL's.
