Then maybe add a single neo Crusader plate to your kit as say a family heirlome that way it would make sense from a character POV. Perhaps a single leg plate or shoulder plate in NC design rather than Fett style. What could be really cool is to paint it in the NC yellow, blue or red and make it heavily weather, beat to heck and slightly rusted. maek it look 4,000 years old! Or, do a nice NC paint app on it and then paint several different colors over it ending in your colors so it looks like it's been passed down and repainted over and over again. Then when you weather it, you can show some of those old and original paint apps through teh paint.

as for applying the sigil... you could print it on paper, cut out the black with a razor knife and use rubber cememnt to attach it to your plate. Mask off the rest of the plate and then spray the desired color on, peel the template and viola! Or, you could hit up duey2k in the Trading Station and he should be able to make a vinyl sticker you can apply directly to the plate for a couple bucks.

Unfortunately my character can't trace lineage back that far, parents died on Galidraan and Nico took Jango's last name to honor him as the battles  survivor. So a heirloom wouldn't work, so I guess I won't be able to use the sigil.

Don't let the character dictate the armor. Let the armor dictate the character. It's always good to have a general idea of who you are but, when it comes to wearing your armor in public and applying for membership with the club, your backstory is moot. If you want to use the sigil, find a way to change your backstory to match your armor, dont use your backstory as a crutch for your armor. Also, if you're not applying as Boba or Jango, the use of Fett for your character name is discouraged.

Would a NC shoulder plate work on the same flak vest as my fett plates? or would i need to mod the plate?

Yes, it should work on the same flak vest, no problem. There isn't that much difference between NC shoulder plates and standard Fett plates; they're just shaped a little different.

Ben: What do we do now? Lob a baradium missile at it?
Luke: Do we have a baradium missile?
Ben: Sorry, Uncle Han said it was always a good idea to have one--
Luke: Your uncle isn't a jedi. I wish you'd remember that.

I wouldnt be able to start on a NC plate anytime soon, i put a request for a NC plate on the trading post. Im hoping that somebody who started on a NC (and failed) would be willing to unload a shoulder, thigh, or shin plate.

PM Jaiden Turr'n Verda as he is the only person in process of producing these pieces. Otherwise, you'd have to scratchbuild one.

You think an extremely weathered Red or Yellow plate would be best for my color scheme?
I posted my WTB in the trading post but t was deleted, and Jaiden told me it would be around 40 for the shoulders. I was hoping for a little but cheaper because my torso cost $40.

Also, if you're not applying as Boba or Jango, the use of Fett for your character name is discouraged.

As for the name, i could say that im a desendent from Cassus i.e. the NC armor piece. Yet not immediately related to Jango.

Making a shoulder piece really wouldn't be that hard. If you search through the Crusader armor section you can see a thread where I showed step by step how to make them using poster board and then fiberglassing them. You could probably build a custom plate for aroudn 15.00. Or, you could use sintra or other plastics to cut a neo styled thigh or shin plate.

Then I guess I'll try doing that after I get my actual Modern era parts done. Worst case I add the NC plate to my kit later on.

And would that work for my name? Cuz I've always used Nico Fett as my mando name for all sw stuff, just trying to figure out a way to keep the Fett in there.

I noticed that i never put up pics of what i want my kit to generally look like.

And this was a recolor of JM that Rek Polus did for me.

Leaning more toward the first pic, but the second just looked awesome.

Hrm, I'll confess to being skeptical about orange, but if it's done right it should look good. I definitely recommend heavy weathering, in the form of blackwash and carbon scoring; that way you don't look like a pumpkin mando :P.

I'm going with blah and orange for high school colors. I plan on adding black to the armor, as well as weathering. I just need to know the best way to weatherly kit, any suggestions?

I generally run with metal, and just scrape the shab out of it, but I believe there are a couple of good weathering tutorials in the Tutorials/Templates section, linked on the upper left of the main page.
