With all due respect to our 501st crossover vode, I didn't see them too much walking around the floor. I did see a ton of Mercs, though.

We may have been smaller in number, but we made our presence known!

I remember passing by many people and when they saw me and other mercs I could hear many whispers and chatting amongst the con goers. "Dang they're everywhere" and "Wow how many of them are there?" lol. Thanks for reminding me of those lol. But I would've loved to see that fan you were talking about haha.

I had on family stop and get there pictures with me and there kids and they said that they couldn't get a picture with a stormtrooper but they loved the mercs and had pictures with like 10 of us at different times.  But I had to pretend a midget clonetrooper hold me up with my own blaster....the shame, but the little ones loved it.

While at CV since I am not an offical member yet and don't have my armor completed I still walked around and was talking to different people I had met, and I would mention the Mercs. While in the family room this lil guy who was getting his char-a-cature (sp?) done by Darrel Woods. The same guy who did a lot of the stuff for the mercs that was shown at CV. Anyways he was going on about how he wanted a Boba fett one drawn of him, because he wanted to become a merc one day.

So I told him to give me the best pose and that I would post it on the forums here for everyone. I told him if he keeps at that one day he would become a merc! I also told him to also go down to the tables to meet some some of the real mercs! not sure if the lil guy ever did, but I will keep my word and post his "action pic" of him in his boba costume.

It was amazing . I'm glad I was wearing my helmet and that it was a bit noisy, so the poor lad couldn't hear me laughing at him. It's a good thing I switch my voice amp off when I'm not actually talking .

There were a surprising number of wee little Bobas and Jangos running around, even a few legit custom mercs-in-miniature. One had a pretty sweet custom merc kit that his father made; the kid couldn't have been more than four or five, but the armor was very well done. The dad was ecstatic to discover that there was actually a mando-specific costuming group .

It was great to finally meet all the mandalorians at CV and the mercs dinner was so much fun. This was great motivation to finish my armor.

We almost had a mando down, after the group photo. Apparently he had some sort of heat exhaustion, or something. He looked pretty bad, so with the assistance of Praetor Ordo, we peeled off his armor plates and his vest. We loosened up his gear so that he could vent and got fluids into him.

The only time I left him, was to go get Novall to tell him what was going on. Otherwise, Praetor and I stayed with him the whole time, I wanted to make sure our vod was alright. Clan status aside, we are all brothers and sisters, here. Nothing is more important than a vode.

I do know that when he got properly hydrated he was up and running again. I had asked him if he had a rank in his clan and he said he was a ver'alor. To which I stated I was an alor'ad, and therefore outranked him and ordered him to stay hydrated. It made for a good laugh, but then I told him in all seriousness to keep hydrated with the water and not soda.

I don't know whatever happened to him, since I didn't see him again for the rest of the con. But I do hope he took care of himself.

It was a need that I had seen that needed addressing. It wasn't about doing it for the accolades, it was something that needed to be done, that's all.

I do hope that our brother pipes up with a progress report to let us all know that he is ok, though.
