The bottom of the Chest plates should finish/go to where your bottom/lower rib cage is. If this helps  ;)

Per the recommendations of Baelin & MerCenary, I've lengthened the chest plates so that the lower edges are riding along my rib cage as best as possible. I know the diamond is too small but that's the least of my concerns at the moment  :P

with that angle, it's hard to tell, but it's definately better. Need to see it with a belly plate to get a better idea.

3 things:

1- Take your time building the kit otherwise it will cost you money wise, plan ahead.

2- Get help from a friend for mesurements or fitting.

3- Cut the pieces a bit bigger so if its too big or make an error in the cut, you can shorten it more and more till it fits you perfectly.

 ;)

The kit I built, I had to cut the shapes out with poster board, then folded them in the requiered shapes and size then went for the real build.
This is also my first buld., but I always make sure to have all the pieces in the right shape and size before attacking it with the final construction material I use.

Dont get discouraged, take some breaks if you start to get frustrated with certain parts.

OK, here's take... 5? I've played with a belly plate and resized the chest plates repeatedly. The areas I'm concerned with are depicted in the two circles. I plan to readjust the angles for the center diamond to look proper so the red circle area is what I know needs fixed. In the green circle, I'm not sure where things need to change. I'm open to suggestions please.

How's this look A'den? I still have to do the diamond and I know the alignment is slightly off. Sorry it's so blurry... Mrs. D isn't very good at taking pics with my phone   :-\

Definitely a huge improvement, ner burc'ya. Before you go ahead and cut it out, I'd like to add to A'den's suggested alterations. I'd suggest trimming the top portion of the ab plate so that it fits into the space left by the chest plates. My trick for doing this, when my templates are a little off, is to place the chest plates so that they make more or less one solid piece with themselves and the diamond, then slide the paper or cardboard ab template underneath and trace it. All four pieces, ab, chestx2 and diamond should make one piece when put together, like a puzzle. Then, when you do the proper one-inch spacing, they look a lot neater.

Ben: What do we do now? Lob a baradium missile at it?
Luke: Do we have a baradium missile?
Ben: Sorry, Uncle Han said it was always a good idea to have one--
Luke: Your uncle isn't a jedi. I wish you'd remember that.
