Here are photos of my Neo Crusader work in progress. I painted the latex mask with blue pearl Createx paint. I'm going for the blue and silver paint scheme.
The first couple of pics shows the mask painted with the duct tape dummy.

When I pulled the latex mask from the dummy, I had a few imperfections due to the glue and latex bleeding thru the foam and attaching to the dummy.
But I can live with it. It looks like dents and I think I'll pass it off as battle damage. It gives the mask its character.
The latex mask gives me some form of mobility.

Here is the progression form the painted black latex.

I am working on the latex suit right now. Originally I was going to do it as a one piece suit. But decided to make it a top part and pant.

Woah! Now that is going to be an accurate and practical Neo armour! Are you doing the face mask itself out of the same material, or are you doing a hard one?

Gratulor - I am using the latex mask as the head piece and not going for a fiberglass helmet type.
I added the visor last night. I really like the dark green visor I purchased online as refered to by TK406? Boba Fett 501st site.
It is flexible and you can cut it with scissors.

I should have updates soon. Thank you for checking it out.

He's got a point there, I can see airflow as a serious problem here.

Aniron, that's a very good question.
When I glued the visor to the inside of the mask, I glued the top and bottom part with foam. The side areas are not glued which has about 3/10th of an inch opening, which aids to keeping the lens from fogging. I tried it on for half an hour and I can breath normally.

I don't see myself keeing the mask on all day for trooping, so I think its fine.
But you brought up an excellent point. I'm thinking of cutting slits on the bottom chin/throat area to improve some air circulation. The grid like area would conceal it, then maybe just covering it inside with nylon pantyhose material. Thanks.

Here is a quick update.

I'm trying to finish up the individual pieces, so by the end of the week I'll spray the latex paint. I am currently working on the patterns for the gauntlets and leg armor. And then look for a belt with buckle and add the other pieces.
I think I can still complete the project before the Anaheim Wizard Con April 17th.

Visor is not flush glued to the latex cowl. Sides have openings to aid in breathing and air circulation.

Shoulder armor made from sintra. I'll attach these via botton or velcro. Also have the foam pieces for the left and right thigh. The armor of the Neo Crusader is not symetric.

Torso Armor - I'll define the chest armor by paint and I still need to add the back plate and side strips.

Back armor - the back side has the zipper, so I was thinking of attaching the back plate in one half of the back, then have velcro to the other half.

At this point the shoes don't look complete. But once I spray it with latex, then finish it up with the blue paint, then it'll complete the outfit.

I decided to go with a Nerf Longshot rifle. I think my Neo Crusader will be a rifleman.

Do be sure to mod that NERF gun so it is no longer immeadiately recognizable as a base/stock NERF rifle, or that will likely ding your app to be denied (it's now a CRL requirement.

I added the bi-pod and will add a scope and still have to repaint. Any suggestions on the modifications?

Photo updates are still work in progress.
My goal at the present is to complete the suit for the Anaheim Wizard convention. Rifle mods are minor concern at the moment and will submit Mandalorian Mercs approval a bit later.
