Reminds me of these:

@Novall
her Mainweapon is a beskad in her right hand and the crushgaunt is for the left hand ;)

I like that, Frost... becoming left hand of death ;)

Thanks for all your support. If it works when completet, I'll need to learn about video making to present the functionality. For now, I have cut the rest of the plates, but it's too late to dish them tonight. (grumbles) I also filed down the joint area of the middle knuckle from "hill" to "valley" and shaved-off a milimeter of the main plate. I want that area snug for optics and to fit under the gauntlet.

Ka'ox: Forefinger is already attached and trigger happy. My blaster has an alternative locking concept. Without a housing over the trigger = no challange there. I just can't draw the blaster with my left because the secured holster is on my right side - by construction and because of the bes'kad. In-universe, my character is as much of a bad shot as a Mandalorian can probably be... but yeah, I'm learning ;)

The quality-sign of medival gauntlets is the joint to the thumb. The piano-joint is quite common, but crap for protection and not ideal for movement. I have seen a better, longish version that can takes the hits of heavy show-fight-blades, but I didn't get it right from memory alone. Gotta talk shop with old friend when I have something to show them in return.

For now, I can open and close the hand completely and I doubt that's going to change, but I couldn't fold up my palm fully like when I wash glasses or greet Trekkies properly (okay, POV depending on how much one hates 'em) and I advise against changing nappies while wearing one. If you plan to visit an osikla place twice, better leave that kind of glove on the shelf.

Crushgaunts were banned by Mandalorians themselves for a reason: they don't entirely fit the picture of a family oriented warrior. What looks cool at parades or in organized photoshoots isn't automatically practical on a cramped party, typing on a touch-screen or handing out stuff to impatient kids. For such times, a clip or loop to attach it to one's belt should be provided.

I like it ;D. It strikes me as more of a 'gouge-your-opponent's-eyes-or-throat-out' tool than a crushgaunt, but you clearly put plenty of thought into the concept and plenty of skill into the actual creation.

Next time I have an itch in that hard to reach spot in the middle of my back, I know who to look for :P.

Ben: What do we do now? Lob a baradium missile at it?
Luke: Do we have a baradium missile?
Ben: Sorry, Uncle Han said it was always a good idea to have one--
Luke: Your uncle isn't a jedi. I wish you'd remember that.

Slade, I don't think that will work.

About the video: Please, they call THAT armour?

That video is SOOOOOOOOOO wierd. Metalic hair and everything.

Anyways, I like where this is going  Tomoe, what exactly are you plans to even out ranged combat however? Are you going to use a pisotl in your off-hand?

She mentioned having a sidearm holstered on the right side, one that she can still wield left-handed, if not draw.

I completed the assembly and it works, but I'll probably do some adjustment on the forefinger-hinge, since there is a pressure spot that can be avoided by shaving it down like the middle-finger joint.

I don't have trouble handling a blaster or beskad (if I was a left-hander), but the blaster has trouble to handle my grip. The rubber-metal paint is nicked by the sheet metal.

Take it easy!

(I couldn't resist...)

What do you think of adding pipes or cableing to the assembly to stress the fantasy-weapon-look of a gauntlet which enhances the hand's pressure forces?

You, ma'am, are amazing. That is a beastly gaunt.
What? Is this thing on? Oh, uh, death upon your head and such.

Gotta relive the Catar-races a bit, Corr. They are close to extinction because every Mando'ad wants a scratched 'gam.

Thanks Markus, gotta find some fresh materials there, but could take a shile, Niobe. I have some colourful contrast in mind.
