Wait isn't the mando'a writtin wrong? The first character is ch. Not c. So that would be Cherar rather than Cerar. I could be totally wrong though.

I got the word from Karen, so I'm going off her lead.

Oh ok. Acording to the grammar guide on Karenn Travis's website it's spelled wrong. Cerar is mountain. But the way it's  spelled in mandoa on the aliik is wrong.

Ok. I checked with Karen. She said the correct mando'a alphabet is on her webpage. The one that I posted earlier. As it is direct from Lucasarts. So then that letter does not exist. So if you actually want to be Clan Cerar rather than Clan (not a character)erar, you should change that. As a Colorado resident Clan Cerar would be the clan I join when I'm older. It would be nice if it isn't misspelled. Considering part of the Resol'nare is to speak the language, this violation makes the whole clan appear aruetycate. Sorry to sound mad, but I take Mando'ade stuff serious.

Guys. Chill.

It's a letter. No reason to go to war over it.

Adenn, This is a costuming club, not a mandalorian culture club. People are allowed to misspell things and still be mando, especially because it's a made up language for a made up culture from a made up universe.

It's not a war, they're both being defensive about things they care about - it's understandable. If the higher ups in this club don't have a problem with the spelling, I sure don't!
Who's not to say that the mandalorians didn't have different dialects/variations, hmm? I am not going to worry about this, as my approach in getting the Colorado area up and running is foremost the costuming, then the nitty gritty. I, in reality, don't know too much about the language so I appreciate the concern, but it's not something to worry about for now.

Now I'd like to request an end to this. If you have any more concerns, please contact me in a PM. Thanks.

Regardless of what you want to call it, it belongs in PMs, not on the forum. If you take things personally, and you get offended or defensive, then take it to the Pms.

Congrats to Cerar, it's been a long time comming for you guys, and I hope you make official clan status soon.

New to the website and currently researching a costume design; living in the South Metro Area, looking to start correspondance with Cerar Clan members?

Good Evening,

Thanks for the welcome and I hope in the next several months that I will be able to get some input on armor design and construction. I have been doing some intense research and I hope to have a theme locked down soon.

I am a 40 yr old local Fire Service professional with a long time interest in the Star Wars Universe and especially the Mandolorian legend. There was something about the uniqueness of Boba Fett that I appreciated even as a child; this going to be awesome!
