Boba Fett Chicken costume

Hello all.  With C5 coming up, I thought it would be a great time to start working on a Boba Fett Chicken costume, ala Something something something Darkside. 

I have talked to a member of the Mercs (dont know if he wants to be associated with such a silly project  ;) )  about this, and he suggested sintra as a base for armor, and a Jango 2 piece helmet.  I can get those things together, but as you would expect, I need a way to attach this armor to a chicken costume. 

What do you think would be the best way to attach sintra armor to a chicken costume?

If this is the wrong sub forum, I do apologize.

Velcro and straps, probably.  It doesn't look like the Chicken wears a vest, so that'll be a roadblock to overcome.

Would I be able to sew the velcro to the chicken suit, and double glue the other side to the under side of the armor?  Would that work?

if you use foam instead of faux-feathers you could also just use snaps
