armor classes: light, medium, heavy

Mafio:
That would be Heavy Weapon  aka  Assault       in this thread we disscuss  Heavy Armor

Malus Cerar:
Well lets see, if heavy armor is classified as having very little body exposed, then my armor would not be heavy. Because I don't have rerebraces nor do I have my neck protected. However, I believe if you ask most members in the group is Malus's armor heavy? They would most likely say yes. As I stated earlier in this post, I believe that heavy armor is based on three qualifications:

1. What type of material is it made out of?
Because this a costume, it doesn't matter what it's made out of.

2. How much of the body is covered?
This one is a bit tricky, because this is not based on how many pieces the armor has but what those pieces cover. Specifically, this could b based on a percentage, maybe 75%. For example, chest, greaves, vambracers, helmet, backplate, cuisses and rerebraces. These are all very large pieces and most certainly cover more than 75% of the body.

3. There is no three, because the amount of armor you have has not a damn thing to do with it. For example, if I wore a set of armor and there was a different piece on every part of my body, but lets say that these pieces were only 2 cm wide, only a moron would call that heavy armor.

Hondo Karr:
That kind of came out of the blue lol.

Ask is classed by coverage. Light coverage, medium coverage and heavy coverage. It's the way it's been classed by the club since it starte, before my time here. We've only recently gotten canon examples of what Modern Era heavy coverage should look like at a minimum (Legacy Mando's... coverage beyond Jango's medium and below a CT or TK). We can go back and forth on it but it will really get neither of us anywhere at the end of the day. As far as what is required to be classed as heavy armor coverage for the sake of the club, it is listed and shown in the Assauly Briagade's Heavy Division boards.

Malus Cerar:
I agree however, that is not a very detailed picture to describe much.

Patrikar Dala:
Thanks! I know know what armor I will have! 8)
